1000+ yards receiving and 10+ TDs this year. I think he'll also get two 2-point conversions (lol, initially I typed out conversations and thought that was kind of humorous).

I had to double take this thread - looked at time stamp. I thought it may be Riley for a second. How about this...next to Riley, Calvin looks like Andre Rison?

re-reading this thread it feels like a study needs to be done on breakout age regarding older freshman. If you crush in your first opportunity it shouldn't matter as much that you're 12 months above average

Yes both Calvin Ridley & Cooper Kupp are examples of older rookies, who can succeed from the get-go. Obviously it is more important that they be as pro-ready - especially when it comes to the more nuanced aspects of Wide Receiver - but that just being on the older side is not an automatic negative.

Where are people on Ridley beginning year 2? Many people on here were pretty down on him before the start of last year (beginning if this thread), but he quietly put up a very solid rookie season. Looks like he going in the 4th round of startups right now. Do you think he improves on a solid rookie season and has late 2nd/early 3rd round value next year at this time? Or do you see 4th round as peak value?

Optimism regarding Ridley this year is very vogue in twitterverse.

I'm still very optimistic. I think he'll make incremental improvements this year. Might be hard to match that TD rate from last season, but I think he'll continue to get better and approach 1000 yards.

Matt Ryan claims his hands have gotten stronger. Which happens to be one of my major criticisms of collegiate Ridley on the prospect profile i wrote for him last year.

This fan article definitely seems comfortable with him being ready to take the next step in 2019. Hopefully the hamstring issue he had earlier in training camp is no longer a concern.

Ridley's first go as an Alpha was nice to see. Nice stat line with Lattimore all over him.

Yes, Ridley is good. Lattimore had to come out for a bit though, right? I don't think it was that long but if anyone has the splits it would be cool to see

Also Lattimore wasn't assigned to Ridley in the first half, Eli Apple was his opposite on most plays. The Saints made an adjustment at the half to put Lattimore on Ridley more as Apple wasn't up to the task even though he had been prepared for it all week

He didn't do much until Lattimore went out. The stat line had a lot to do with the score line, too. He did most of his damage in come from behind mode, not that it matters for Fantasy. He was shut down for a large portion of the game and came on late.
