Mine doesn't have IR either, it's just a standard MFL dynasty.
I'm not sure what you mean by "standard" MFL given that the platform is completely customizable. So the commissioner would have set it up that way. I suspect you'll find there's nothing "standard" about no IR slots.

Regardless, dropping Richard was a good decision. That team has some others you could have cut. Ito Smith, Tre'Quan Smith both jump out.

I'd suggest trying to get some IR spots added so you aren't in a position of cutting valuable players just because of injury. Last season my players on IR reached double digits (55 man rosters). At least I was able to put 3 of them on IR and be able to get something of use from waivers.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

What are the odds Mckinnon regains the starting job next season?
50/50 in my eyes.
The Breida truther in me wants to say 0% but Shannahan is mind boggling with some of his personnel decisions.
See: Alfred Morris.
Team 1 (10 Team SF: QB, RB RB, WR WR WR, TE, Flex, SF)
QB: T. Brady, Trubisky, M. Ryan, M. Stafford, Josh Allen
RB: DJ, Gurley, Barkley, Ajayi, KJ, Aaron Jones, M. Breida, Chris Carson, Chris Warren, Ito Smith,
WR: OBJ, D. Adams, Tyreek Hill, AROB, Kenny Golladay, Tyrell Williams, Antonio Callaway, Justin Watson, Tyler Boyd
TE: Kyle Rudolph, H. Henry, Jonnu Smith

Only updating my first team, I own shares of many players across many leagues.

Before the season starts? Pretty good if and only if they don't draft new players. Breida is not an every down back.

However, the following are all links to a point in time when I said this guy would get hurt sometime this year, prior to him getting hurt:

Dude can't stay on the field. I'm a HUGE 49er fan and I wanted to believe. But after doing my research and asking nearly every Viking fan I came into contact with, I couldn't find ONE fan or ONE reason that McKinnon would be a solid every down back for the next 4-5 years. I sold all my copies.

He's a great buy low atm. I might even do it myself but ONLY for the purpose of flipping him sometime next year, preferably before the rookie draft. Probably not worth the hassle...

Depends on the team imo. I’d value him around a mid to late first. I’d sell for that - and I’d be ok with buying for a mid 2nd if I was a contender and wanted to add short term depth in ppr leagues.

With the news of T.Coleman going there, I change my take above. McKinnon is prob worth a mid 2nd at best. Looks to be a frustrating rbbc situation brewing in SF

I agree with the above take, as do a lot of my fellow Niners fans. I think the most likely scenario is McKinnon is cut. More likely than all other scenarios combined. But the SF FO is hard to read and they zig when we expect them to zag over and over, including signing Coleman.

What that means for McKinnon if he is indeed cut? I think he would be signed somewhere as a second back like maybe in Minny again, or perhaps get a chance to lead a backfield in Philly, Hou, Oak, TB?

Picks:

They wouldn't realize any cap savings if they cut him. His dead cap > cap hit.

I can't see any reason why they would cut McKinnon. It's certainly not unusual for a team to roster 3 RBs. It's kind of a good problem to have 3 capable backs don't you think?

No. 49ers roster Kyle Juszczyk at FB. Leaves them 3 RB spots, unlike many/most teams that have 4. 1 of them right now is very likely to go to Raheem Mostert, who is a pretty good back, and the best STer on the roster. The other two are going to go to Coleman/Breida/McKinnon.

The cap hit doesn’t matter this year, Niners have plenty of room to work with. They probably wouldn’t mind saving the cash on McKinnon. They also are likely to cut McKinnon after this season because of his bloated contract and cap hit in 2020/2021 anyways.

I guess it’s probably:

1) cut McKinnon

2) trade Breida

3) cut Mostert and make Breida a STer

4) take a roster spot away from another position

I doubt McKinnon gets cut.
That said; I want no part of this backfield.
Anyone can jump on a bandwagon and agree with group-think.
Think outside the box. It is more fun that way.
