Sorry for borrowing your format - but I liked the way it was structured - however those are my numbers that I feel comfortable with - is it conceivable that he does better - of course - I'll gladly revise them if the drumbeats over summer suggest positivity - but I'm not going to give a player a ceiling that they do not deserve.
DeVante Parker value?

Chopped liver. I drafted him, I owned him, I'm done with him. If he breaks out, it will be on someone else's roster.

For those of you capping Parker at 800 yards, do you see the team drafting someone to be the number one receiver of the future or do you think someone else on the team is going to step up and surpass Parker on the depth chart?

Re: What do you see for Parker this season now that Landry is gone.
I am sure that the Dolphins will draft another WR - but I don't necessarily think that will be a high pick or with the aim of that player being a WR1.
I have Parker around 800 yards because to be quite honest - I don't believe in him and haven't even seen flashes. Given he is still young and there is still time; but the team also added Amendola & Wilson.
So you'll have Parker, Stills, Carroo, Amendola, Wilson & Drake catching passing from Tannehill; honestly - I just think the Dolphins are a team to avoid. I don't see a clear WR1 on this team.

For me there will no one who steps up and surpass Parker. It will be a 1a-1b-1c configuration between Stills-Parker and Carroo/Amendola. No one of them will surpass those 800 yards.

Re: What do you see for Parker this season now that Landry is gone.
Parker's problem last year was not Landry, it was consistency. If he personally improves, he is going to demand more targets, but that would have been the case whether Landry was there or not. He had trouble carrying over his strong offseason both of the last 2 years, so I am in the "believe it when I see it" camp.

Yeah the Dolphins gave enough guaranteed money to both Wilson & Amendola to suggest they plan to use them like they did Landry (although not to that extent).

As far as I can tell they cannot release Wilson before 2020 without financial repercussions?
So I think between the 2 of them they'll get at least 100 of Landrys old targets (obviously a lot will depend on health) and I've already shown I am not currently a believer that Parker can show he can play efficiently at anything less than 100%, and he's not at 100% that frequently.
So its not about Parkers potential to me, but more about his inability so far to show me that hes capable of reaching that potential, and that includes earning enough targets to get to a higher ceiling.
A couple months from now, if the Dolphins take his 5th year option (not yet done) and he's doing everything thats expected of a WR ready to fully break out, I'll be quite willing to revise his production ceiling as I see it. But atm like Phaded said, its a team to avoid with no player proven to show they can step up and be a teams WR1, instead its going to be a 1a/b/c type situation like Blackout suggests.

Re: What do you see for Parker this season now that Landry is gone.
I'm cutting him because I can't justify his salary on my team and I'd rather open up a spot for our rookie/FA draft because I'm tired of waiting Never healthy enough to be effective, just a tease. Landry's role was totally different and they brought in a replacement for that role so I don't see it having a huge impact on Parker. If Parker gets it together, I may regret it, but I doubt it.
I think he'll be in the 600 to 800 yard +/- 6 TD range.

Re: What do you see for Parker this season now that Landry is gone.
Interesting that Stills isn't even one full year older than Parker and has been in the league 2 more years. Stills has had some solid fantasy years for a guy worth peanuts, while Parker was still fetching Late 1st Round/Early 2nd Round picks probably as of last offseason.
I honestly wonder if Parker doesn't put up this year, will he ever? And next year, everyone will hope that he changes teams and needs new scenery, etc.
