That was my thought - its all be part of a long revenge plan by the Patriots to totally screw over the Colts. Now they are out of a HC and all the strong candidates are gone and they look like fools ...

I don’t think the New England job is that desirable, frankly. Who wants to be the guy who comes after B.B.? You’re probably inheriting a team with a bad defense and either an old QB or no QB.

Yeah but they still have Brissett who obviously McDaniels is quite familiar with AND a top pick. So if Luck is done they draft a Rosen / Darnold and have him sit for half a season while Brissett keeps the seat warm. That (like a poster above said) seems more appealing that trying to fill Bills shoes and having no QB ready behind Brady.
