Both trades were too much giving. You turned Pettis and a 3rd in a 1st and i would have kept it.

I like Freeman a lot but risky. I don't like Chubb. I mean the fact he's got to compet with Hyde for now and Duke a king of 3rd down situation. I see two very good seasons ala Morris in him and a 3 down back will make him forgettable after.

Really? the first trade basically wound up:

Chubb & Callaway >>> Christian Kirk, Lockett, & Lynch
early 2020 1st > late 2019 1st, late 2020 3rd

I get that Chubb will have competition this year, but Hyde's contract can easily be cut next offseason and Duke is a free agent. He has a real opportunity to be a high end RB1 on an up and coming offense.

As for my second trade, i had a rough time pulling the trigger because i like Funchess a lot, but Freeman gives me the time i need to allow for Chubb to take the reigns in CLE. If anything i think that one is a wash.

Maybe I’m in denial, but I think Dede has a chance to be the 1b or WR2 within the next couple years. I also don’t think Bortles will be there next year (or worst case scenario, 2 years from now). The Jags management has to understand that he is the weakest link, and have plans to upgrade the QB room (I hope).
