This is exactly how I view it. I'm not a Dallas fan at all but the Dez reception ruled incomplete that instigated this absurd interpretation still makes me mad.

as perhaps the biggest steelers honk around here , I haven't still seen the ball on the ground, no doubt moved but every single person on the planet saw a touchdown catch ; but on steelers depot podcast one of the daves said he saw a still photo of it and the rule while moronic was correctly applied . The single best solution is replay should be done only in real time as any human can see it any other method is overkill .
Crushing loss that could change the outcome of the season ! My steelers contributed to their own demise about 10 different times the last 5 minutes with play calling, scheme , lack of preparedness at the chaotic end and decision making ! Not sure why mike mitchell was playing 30 yards off the line of scrimmage and the steelers never sent a delayed blitz up the gut just continued to let brady step up in the pocket and carve their asses up the last drive . Double team gronk or blitz mitchell either which way was better than playing centerfield . Sad but true what was appearing to be a season of destiny now has a an additional new mountain to climb and really 2 as that jags defense is no joke and embarrassed the steelers a couple months ago . I doubt bortles goes into pittsburgh and wins but just playing them takes a toll when the pats will have an easy cakewalk semi unless baltimore comes in and beats them up physically even though they have no chance of actually winning . No other AFC contender will even break them a sweat prior to AFC championship game now in comfy foxborough.

no crying by me just disgust and disappointment !

If you are talking to educated fans - sure, but the majority of fans are not educated.

The amount of crying and moaning I've seen about it.. everything from "bad call" or "the refs favor the Pats" or "the ball crossed the line so it's a TD" and countless of other things.. hell, seeing just the comments on pages like NFL and ESPN is painful.

It was the correct call based on the rulebook - a bad rule? Sure, but it has been around for years already. Not exactly a new rule. This literally happens every single time this rule is enforced.

...in other news, Thomas Davis suspended 2 games - wow.

It's cause he is "old" - people would rather have a 4th round WR who is young and has "upside"..

I'm kinda disgusted by the NFL. Davis getting 2 games is fine for the hit. What disgusts me is the fact that they only gave Gronk 1 for his after the play shenanigans. Davis, so far as I know, has been a model NFL player over his career. I know for a fact he won that award for NFL players who gave back to the community, while Gronk has been skating through various character concerns/penalties over the last few years. I'll let others speculate on why Gronk got off, but as an average fan, it just seems off to me.

I'm not sure what character concerns we have witnessed from Gronk (he likes to party?), but I agree with your overall point. Gronk should have gotten a bigger or at least EQUAL punishment for his blatant dirty hit.

I actually can't stand that Davis got 2 games. That sucks. He's never been a dirty player, and this wasn't a dirty hit. It was illegal, absolutely. But since Adams got knocked out again, and he got knocked out earlier in the year, Davis gets a worse punishment.

Oh I actually just meant I don't feel comfortable starting him next week! Haha how crazy is it, that he got 17 targets and scored really well in fantasy, yet if anyone else owns him and watched that game, you've gotta have some serious reservations about trusting him in lineups. The Raider offense is Denver/Baltimore bad right now.

Yeah the biggest problem I have with the Davis getting suspended for two was what Gronk got as well. I think you could argue what Gronk did was substantially worse. The fact that he actually got LESS than Davis is what is appalling. No way would I have imagined Davis would get 2 if Gronk only got 1 - but the biggest consistency to this point has been inconsistency.

I just remember watching Davis on the sideline after the hit too - guy looked seriously upset and stressed out with himself.

Messing up the Gronk suspension doesn't mean they should be lenient on future penalties.

It is not about leniance but consistency. The NFL constantly making it up as they go is a major issue and this is far from the first incident where they have shown inconsistency.

To be completely honest - I would not be surprised if the NFL has a political agenda to try to distract from the situation with their owner.

I think Jags come out of AFC. They're so hot right now. The defense is reminiscent of the 02-03 Bucs. Bortels apparently feeling it, with speed at the receiver position and power in the back field. Granted it was a dismantled Houston team. I like them as the dark horse especially if Antonio is injured.
