Bad beats topic

Postby Leoj » Tue Oct 03, 2017 6:03 am

Posting this in an effort to feel better about my own dynasty season. I currently sit 0-4 in two leagues, both of which I rank 1st in Points Against. In the league where I don't own my 2018 1st, I'm also 4th in Points For.

Anyone else attempting to stay sane in the midst of some unfairly bad beats?

I'm down at least 4 of my starters on my contending team. I'm 2-2 somehow and don't know whether to sell off the guys like Chris Thompson and Buck Allen (still have my 1st) and give up, or go all in.

David Johnson
Allen Robinson
Tyler Eifert
Corey Davis
CJ Fiedorowicz

In my three leagues, I was trying to contend in two and semi rebuild in one. After injuries and bad luck, turns out I'm semi rebuilding in the ones I was trying to compete in and undefeated in the one I was semi rebuilding in. What a crazy unpredictable game we play.

Doesn't seem like anything more than a typical year to me. You may just be hurting because your guys are going down this year.

I lost by 5.75 due to that 7 point play. I wouldnt have been in the position to lose if Julio doesnt get hurt and Dem doesnt suck so I have no one to blame but myself lol. Honestly, in 20+ years of fantasy football, I think that is the only time in any of my leagues that I lost on literally the last play. I remember losing some in the last series, but this week I lost 2...this one and the Fitz TD.

Yeah Dem sucked it up for me as well. He's been a little bit of a disappointment so far this year. I wasn't looking for lights out, but I figured he could at least be consistent

Typical season for me.
In two of my leagues, I'm the leading scorer after 4 weeks. In one league I'm 4-0, in the other 2-2.
In another league, two years removed from a title, I'm 0-4, middle-of-the-pack points-wise - primarily because of underperforming studs. Time to panic yet? Maybe.

I hear ya. I play in 3 main leagues.

Keep 7 league-- 4 of my starters were out for the year or a good portion of the year by Week 2 (A-Rob, Olsen, Luck, DJ, C. Coleman). I'm 1-3 and basically f'ed for the year. Only 15 man rosters and I'm stashing these guys for next year.

Non-PPR-Off to an 0-4 start. Things just haven't worked out. Loss S. Ware (who's never getting his job back), M. Ingram is a non-factor, T. Eifert is hurt again, Hilton hasn't done much, the one good thing for this team (C. Carson) is now on IR. Traded away my future first in the off-season (After coming in 2nd last year) for Hilton....Sooooo a bad season got a lot worse with NO first round pick. J. Tucker goes from being the best kicker in the league to nearly the worst..Insult to injury....Would have had 1 win, but that week they took back the G. Tate goal line TD screwed me.

PPR-I'm 1-3, but still in the thick of things as the final two WC spots go to most points scored and I'm top 5 in that.

I had a lot of good fortune last year but this year has been just the complete opposite.

If you didn't hate Julio, this wouldn't have happened. So, it's mainly the fault of you and Dem. Clearly.

Two weeks ago I lost by 2 Pts in a game where KBenj and Ajayi both left the game due to injury

This week I put up the second most points in the league, lost to the guy who put up the most points he has EVER had in the last 5 years.

3rd ovr in points but 6th in standings.

ive found that misfortunes 1 year often times lead to prosperity the next if you can just be patient. you really want to be holding your own future 1st though when these struggles come forward.

I lost a 5 game parlay on the Chiefs game going over 48.5 then realized in the league I commish, I was no longer up 4 points against the Chiefs defense.
