Hunt has to be No 1 if we're only going off these three games. I think several rookies have looked good though

1. Hunt
2. Fournette
3. Cook
4. Davis (looked amazing in Week 1, but he's already a threat to be an injury Bust)
5. CMC
6. Maybe Mixon by default, hard to rule for or against him at this point

After that it's a crapshoot, you can argue for guys with pedigree who haven't yet played/gotten opportuinty, or you can say guys like Chris Carson or Cohen need to fly up rankings. Either way I'm staying out of that mess until more games have been played

Hunt has obviously been phenomenal, but I suspect Cook, CMC or Fournette would be seeing similar production in his spot. Fournette has produced at a much higher level than people gave him a chance for going into this season. Cook had a terrible game in there but two great performances, fair to blame the second game on the entire offense though. CMC had a bit of a slow start (which we expected) but that last game just...wow, he's the best receiver on the team by a pretty fair margin to my eyes. If Cam were playing well I think he's the one we'd all be looking at as one of the top options.

Also, not that they haven't been ugly, but I think Deshone Kizer is putting up WAY more fantasy points than anyone expected so far.
Nitpicking here but how is 12/64 for cook a bad game?
I am guessing the fact he pretty much had one good run and a bunch of nothing else for the most part. Not all his fault by any means as they seemed to get penetration and pressure on the QB for a good chunk of the game. Stats did not end up terrible like you said. 12/64 is decent.

Really? Engram who is not going to lose his spot for a long time and is getting better and better is gonna be in the same tier as guys like Mike Williams, John Ross, OJ Howard and Foreman?

Looking through this thread it surprised me how fast people have moved Hunt up their board. Which got me to wonder:

How many people that are currently ranking Hunt as the #1 overall rookie are trying to trade Fournette (or Mixon, or Davis, or CMC, or Cook) to get him? Are the trade offer out, and what were the results?

Just curious.

Not bad per se, but not necessarily what you hope to get out of your top 3 pick. Please note, I'm not worried about him, I have him and love him, but you'd have loved to see a bit more out of the gun

Maybe because they have played only 3 games.

I own Mixon & McCaffrey in one league. I'd trade either straight up for Hunt. I like his running style. Injuries are unpredicatable, but I am confident by the end of the year, Hunt will be the higher ranked player.

This, and the fact that we're basing these ranking off of the 3 games played. It's probably a flawed practice in itself but you can't be surprised that Hunt is the most highly ranked rookie at this point in time. It's the whole point of the thread

Reljac, I'd give it a shot. Make the offer. You never know what the Hunt owner is thinking.
If you do, would you share the response?

Sure, I put it out there. I'll let you know if I get a response, but owners in that league often just don't respond if they don't like a deal.

I don't laugh at many posts, but this one got me. Well done.

I can easily see the argument for having Hunt #1, if nothing else other than I think many owners would consider him to have the highest trade value. You could do what you want with him. Worst case you have great production. He's a RB1 week in and week out given how the Chiefs want to use him both run and pass.

I don't understand the 'more out of the gun' from Cook comment. Not at all. The three weeks are more than you expected, and if they aren't, your expectations were too high to begin with.

Mixon is taking the path we similarly should have expected. A backfield that needed to shape out, and an OL with many issues. It's how we go the back half of the season and beyond that will shape any change IMO.

Fournette has been status quo, if not better because he's catching some passes.

Davis looked very nice in his only game. If he was healthy and doing that people would be salivating.

Engram has looked very solid for a rookie TE. He's passable as a starter, which is rare. Eli and his future are the uncertainty. Engram could do more Marshall things than Marshall come later this season for all we know.

Cohen is officially a thing. The industry missed big here.

Kamara is expanding his role. I remember some questioning his landing spot off the bat, which seemed odd then, and more so now. His role will expand. Showing very well early.

Lots of positives overall, even from the QB class of which many were ripping on early, as if anyone truly has a pulse on QBs to begin with. Still lots of action still to come, as is the case with rookies, but early career expectations should be getting exceeded by many and will inevitably result in owners having reduced patience with those yet to show anything. A few more weeks and value buys will start creeping in already..
