Where's Jonnu Smith? And even Bucky Hodges?

Close between Everett and Kittle for me.

Everett gets the nod in the end because he has the most upside of anyone on the list. Kittle is nice because it looks like we will find out sooner rather than later with him whereas most young TEs you have to wait a few years to see them get a fair shot.

Like Jonnu but someone in your league must too. Picked Everett but think Shaheen looks good as well.

Agree with above. From the listed options Everett would be my choice. I prefer Jonu over Everett, though.

Hodges was just signed to the Panthers practice squad ... I could see them cut him also, they cut a 6th round twitter darling last year too, Beau Sandland ..

Jonnu has those freak metrics we all swarm to like bugs to a light ... I must admit I have been very TE greedy this offseason .. I've made room clearing out WR3's, RB handcuffs, previous long shot TE's to make room for several TE's, and many on this list .. in doing so, Jonnu has been grabbed about just everywhere, people leaving higher capital TE's in favor of grabbing him ..

A moment on ASJ and his hype .. After Josh Gordon I try my best not to roster guys that have off field problems. He is also on a terrible offense (with no real hope anytime soon) and I do try my best to roster good players on good teams .. I also like targeting teams I feel are on the rise ..

Vance McDonald I'm also avoiding .. the guys over a Steelers Depot did some really nice film study on him, its worth a look, but I also feel good players announce themselves and we have been waiting a very long time for him to do so..

and pre-draft the same guys at Steelers Depot were in love with George Kittle, praying the Steelers would draft him in the 4th .. He ended up in SF where he has become the starter .. There has been a ton of buzz from training camp and they traded McDonald and made him the starter .. He could be a big piece as Shanahan gets that offense more efficient ..

McVay, Everett, and the upcoming Rams offense .. I know its only been one game and trust me, I am so ready for a Goff meltdown (sure it will come with some heavy pressure) .. but I really like what McVay is doing and trust his TE friendly offensive schemes ..

Adam Sheehan is going to take awhile to develop, he's just not ready. He has a ton of upside though. I put him on a couple of taxi squads ..

I would try my best to roster/stash Everett/Jonnu/Kittle/Sheehan myself ... probably in that order, I might not roster Sheehan if I didn't have taxi, but I would always be ready to grab him off waivers .. but as far as Everett/Jonnu/Kittle .. I'd make room and have all 3 .. and I have done this in practice in all my leagues, I have grabbed atleast 3 TEs from this class in every League..

I think Vance McDonald is talented but he's had a bit of a setback with Jesse James' week 1 performance.

I think this poll/thread should be remade with Jonnu and Bucky added.

If going for upside or a potential difference maker, my targets are:

-Rico Gathers
-Gerald Everett / Tyler Higbee
-Adam Shaheen
-Austin Seferian-Jenkins
-George Kittle
-Eric Swoope
-Coby Fleener
-Jake Butt

While I like guys like Jonnu, Brate, James/Mcdonald, etc... I struggle to see a realistic chance at top 4-6 overall TE production, and that's all I care about when stashing TEs. It is easy to find 7-10 PPG TE production, as that can usually be found off the WW or traded for on the cheap (Delanie, Gates, Witten, etc), but unless you're just trying to break even at TE with the rest of your league...the only chance to gain an advantage is to trot out a top 5 overall TE each week, in my opinion. Because of that, I don't mind paying up for a 'reliable' Gronk/Kelce/Reed/Graham/Eifert/Ertz type, and then start swinging for the fences at TE2-3-4 on my bench. Otherwise you're left with a bunch of middling TEs you don't want to start, can't trade for anything of use, but can't drop.

Personally I would have this as easily Everett is the best stash. The rest I have all very closely and could make a case for any of them, but Everett to me is clearly at the top of the list.

I'd have Jonnu as the best long term stash, but it could be really long term with Delanie Walker around. I chose Kittle. Shanahan knows how to highlight a TE and SF needs someone to throw the ball to. He's getting the bulk of the snaps already and has the talent to excel.
