Cam wasnt even considered because in this format his rushing tds are neutralized somewhat and his injury history isnt exactly the best. Russell was considered but ultimately decided the extra 5 years plus his supporting cast made me lean to Jameis. He was my qb 3 coming into draft.

So who did the guy get at 17?? If Carr, Cam or Wilson were still available at 17, then I like the trade a lot less.

17 was Matt Ryan. Wilson and Cam were on the board. But neither is in Lucks league.

The first round was very weird after the top 2 picks of Rodgers and Luck, only carr and Brady... haha went before pick 12. Was not expecting that to be the case but after Jameis 10 of the next 13 picks were qbs. So I was very happy to beat that run.

So you and others passed on Russell Wilson for Jamies?
I would also easily take Cam over any of the 3 (Carr/Brady/Jamies) but he is much more polarizing so I get Cam not going earlier

Did the Brady owner draft Brees as well? that's the only way I understand him over any of Carr, Russ, Cam/ any younger QB

The Brady owner is the most puzzling owner in the league. Took Brady top 10 then followed with Jordy Nelson Devonta Freeman and Eli Manning.

They really shouldn't though. Their rushing TD totals are so low that negating the 2pt advantage that rushing TDs have in 4pt/passing TD leagues really doesn't equate to much of anything. Wilson has rushed for exactly 1 TD in 3 of his 5 seasons, and the most he ever had was 6.

Cam obviously has rushed for more TDs, but other than his rookie season he's averaged a hair under 6 per season. So even for Cam, he loses his 2pt rushing TD advantage on 6 TDs per season. That's only 12pts over an entire season, which is nothing. Now if you want to value QBs that have 45 TD upside a bit higher then there's some argument for that, but there's really no statistical reason to devalue guys like Cam/Wilson due to their rushing TDs not being advantageous over passing TDs, as the difference is pretty minute and smaller even than random year to year variance.

I think you nailed it. While it's only a slight downgrade in the rushing the potential for Luck and Jameis to have monster passing numbers compared to Wilson and Cam is a big key.
