Is New England a good situation for a non-slot WR? Cooks had a relatively down-year there, and other than that I don't think they've had a fantasy relevant outside receiver since Moss.

Cooks. 246.3 points in 2016 with the Saints, 243.2 in 2018 with the Rams, 219.2 in 2017 with the Pats. Yeah not a huge dip, but it certainly looks like the Pats wasn't a plus situation for him.

And maybe everyone was just wrong about it being a good situation. NE right now might just be a good situation for (1) GOAT QBs, (2) slot WRs, and (3) generational TE talents. Arguably also goal line RBs.

I don't think the Eagles or GB would be any better than NE.

I think I'd rather be catching deep balls from Rodgers or Wentz than Brady at this point.

I know this is probably an undue amount of clamor for a guy who is most likely washed but has been an interesting distraction this afternoon.

This is the drama that we missed on the trade deadline. Teams coming out of the woodwork to deny putting in a claim on this guy.

Are people still going to pay a 2nd for him? I guess he's worth picking up for free (if that's an option) and hoping to flip him to some delusional owner. But I can't imagine at this point getting anything more than a 3rd, and only if he went somewhere like Seattle.

Well, I thought earlier that Seattle was probably best case scenario, so maybe you guys can still get your 2nds from some owners.

I do not think this hurts Metcalf (or Lockett) much, at first, more guys like David Moore & Jaron Brown. Maybe in a few weeks perhaps - or perhaps not. All depends on how Gordon takes to Seattles system.
