I'd do that for sure, with this draft class. Elliott is suppose to be far and away the best player, and he is "meh", for me. There is some good depth and some good players, but nobody on Watkins level. I feel there is some good players, but the fact that Elliott is supposedly in his own tier speaks volumes of the "top end" talent in this class. Elliott would have been well behind Gurley and Cooper last year, for me, and most others, too.SadBucsfan wrote:I traded the 1.01 and 1.04 for Watkins. I'm pretty dang happy with it.

Re: What kind of trades are you seeing for the 1.01 or 1.02
In a 16 team IDP league I recently made the following separate trade to get up to 1.01.
I traded Freeman and Decker for Keenan Allen and 1.06
Then I traded the 1.06 and 1.13 for the 1.01
So in essence i see this as Freeman, Decker and 1.13 for Allen and 1.01
My team is
R Wilson
Elliot (to be drafted regardless where he plays)
Julio
Allen
Crabtree
Graham
plus idps

If you're trying to get the 1.01, get it early. If you're trading away the 1.01, hold it, it'll sell for much more later.
Picks always go up in value, but Elliott is really in a tier of his own and a lot of owners will be trying to either trade up to 1.01 or move back, so the offers should be very good closer to your rookie draft.

Re: What kind of trades are you seeing for the 1.01 or 1.02
I offered a big trade for 1.1
He is rebuilding and doesnt have great qbs, but pretty strong youth guys.. We keep 9 players. friendly QB scoring (Cam was number 1 overall scorer)
Offered
Cam Newton, Alshon Jeffery, 1.12, 2017 2nd.
for
Cooper, 1.1, 3.1, 2017 4th
He said instant no-go with no counter (for instance asking for my 2017 first)
Lot of moving parts besides the 1.1 though.

Boiled down, that deal is Cam + the 1.12 for Elliott, the 3.01, and a 2017 4th. Even in QB friendly scoring I'd say your side is very light.

Cooper>Alshon +1.13
1.01>Cam (If it's one qb)
The rest is just fodder used to muddle up a trade

Re: What kind of trades are you seeing for the 1.01 or 1.02
I dont "blame" him either, but Its weird you both ignored the 2017 2nd.
And one of you counted HIS 2017 4th? The 2nd isnt worth nothing, especially when the first round is roughly 1/3 vets every year.
Perhaps Im crazy, but the number one overall scorer got me the championship last year, so I may value the position that my qb scoring 100 more points than my opponents puts me in. I may have become partial to qb scoring through that experience. I would have accepted had be slightly changed the trade to a 2017 first, instead of a 2017 second, but he is a huge cooper fan. I have cooper slightly ahead of alshon.
edit: a bigger problem with the trade becomes apparent when just looking at how each of you broke down the trade. Wildly different. Might just have too many moving parts.

One of my leagues the 1.01 was dealt for 1.02+Ameer Abdullah...thought that was a solid price to pay. Probably a bit of an overpay but good to go in strong

Re: What kind of trades are you seeing for the 1.01 or 1.02
I would have taken the same approach as him. Cooper and 1.01 are the sexiest items in there and moving both in one deal is being very aggressive, not to mention that your side is light. Cam is a nice name, but in a 1QB league doesn't match Cooper or 1.01. The other pieces don't cover in a weak 2016 class.captain howdy wrote:I offered a big trade for 1.1

THAT is just crazy talk unless the TE position has some odd low scoring rule.

Re: What kind of trades are you seeing for the 1.01 or 1.02
FFPC team in signature has gotten very little discussions for the 1.1, David Johnson, or Josh Gordon. Those three pieces have been polarizing on this site yet nothing in the league albeit slow in trades.
Below I not been involved in but here are the 1.2 and 1.1 trades
1.2, 1.7, 3.6, 2017 1st, and Derek Carr FOR Julio Jones and 2.1
Different League 1.1, Foles, Stacy, Hawkins FOR D. Murray, Marshall, Cutler, Aiken
Then 1.1, DT, Buck Allen FOR L. Bell, J Matt, Britt, 2.2

Also, I believe Gronk is about to fall off the cliff.
LMAO, thats why we are owners but the 1.5 or 1.8 should yield one good starter. Gronk alone still worth at least twice the value of 1.1, 1.5 and 1.8 are just extra.

I was offered the 1.1, 2017 first, 2018 first for gronk and i turned it down.
