I own both, I'm pretty unbiased.

"Outstanding size and length. Functionally strong to power through the jam. Boxes out defenders and is a big red-zone target. Hardwood background is evident -- outstanding leaper with "above-the-rim" skills to go over top of smaller DBs and highpoint throws. Creates late, subtle separation. Tracks and adjusts. Makes contested grabs -- attacks throws and outmuscles defenders in a crowd. Nearly unstoppable executing back-shoulder catches. Strong, reliable hands. Very strong after the catch -- slams into tacklers, is a load to bring down and leans for extra yardage. Productive playmaker -- averaged 20 yards per catch in 2013 and showed up in big games (18-566-5 vs. Alabama and Auburn). Good blocker. Physically dominant and tough. Will be a 21-year-old rookie."

Anyway, the thread is still loosely on topic.

So what tier would we put Arob in at this point? Is he in that 2nd tier with the likes of Evans/OBJ or not quite yet?

in my dynasty rankings i've probably moved him up into the 12-15 range at this point.

There are few wide outs I would want above ARob honestly. He is where I would put the likes of Cooper, Evans, AJG (I'm not high on him at all and wouldn't trade Arob for him). He's a WR1 to me.

I would have ARob probably as a fringe top 10-12 guy.

In dynasty, I think he is definitely a top 12 WR. I think he has shown enough to be in the Evans/OBJ tier.

Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville, 143.2 pSPARQ (99th percentile)

Name HT WT AL 40 10 SS 3C BP VJ BJ pSPARQ simScore
Allen Robinson 6.22 220 32.00 4.47 1.53 4.00 6.54 17 42.0 10.92 143.2 N/A

Allen Robinson isn’t an unknown quantity at this point, but it’s worth noting just how much of an athletic freak he is relative to everyone else. He’s one of the ten most athletic receivers to test over the last 17 draft classes, and the second-most athletic active receiver behind Calvin Johnson. He’s still sporting a 6th-round ADP, mainly because of his team situation and an injury that put him on IR to close last season, but he won’t be available that late in 2016. Get him now and profit.

This can't be current, because Robinson has an early 2nd round ADP on DLF. The buy low, or buy affordably window with Robinson is long gone.

If Jax ever decides to get him the ball on shorter, easier routes on top of his downfield plays...we have a dominant player. He's exceeded what I thought he would do this year and I'm happy about it. I still think he is misused a lot and he will succeed in spite of his QB.

That was written back just before week 1. Kind of foreshadowing.

I hear ya on that Bortles increasing his accuracy (even if it means some more shorter, easier routes) would help Robinson. That being said, I think that Bortles and Robinson are a great match. Robinson is great at making plays down field and one thing Bortles does well is push the ball down field. A game manager type QB may not let Robinson shine his playmaking skills the way a big armed, risk-taking, QB does.

In my 16 team PPR superflex league he was just traded:

ARob owner gives:
Allen Robinson
Joe Flacco
Colts D/ST

ARob owner gets:
Stevie Johnson
Tony Romo
Broncos D/ST
3rd rounder currently belonging to an undefeated team.

I kind of assume it's probably a practical joke, but it happened a couple hours ago.

My opinion on the trade aside, is it common for people to make trades as practical jokes in your league?

16 team superflex Romo is the most valuble player to me despite his age/injury.
I don't like the deal but totally get it. In a 12 sflex team that would be not as good a trade but in a 16 teamer that makes sense. Broncos D is probably a solid upgrade over the Colts as well
