While not a rebuild deal for thebeast per say - this has the essence of the expectation that thebeast is done in 2019 and throwing in the towel - collecting younger assets & depths to reset for 2020 and beyond. It would be a case of having your cake & eating it too (not that I am that fond of this saying) if thebeast can still pull off a playoff berth.
Some might not like this deal from one end or the other - but I like it for both sides. This is a rare occasion of moving an Elite Asset (Hopkins) for enough secondary assets to make moving the elite asset worthwhile. This, to me at least, is like moving a $1 and a .50 and getting 3 50 cent, and 3 25 cent pieces back (2.25). hockeybjj is not giving up anything too expensive to regret (except maybe Kerryon Johnson) but giving up enough volume that even if some of the assets do not pan out that the rest should fill the gap.
And hockeybjj has mentioned numerous times that he has found he had too much boom/bust hit/miss - and now he's move some of the boom/bust potential for 1 safe high floor, with good ceiling upside asset. So give each team a A for Eifert & a B plus for the trade as well.

Nothing splashy, but again a deal that I think works for both teams. Long term maybe Rosen can still become more than whatever Nick Foles is today. But at least Nick Foles is starting - and he seems to be the type of QB that you might not love, but continually finds a way to get a job - like Ryan Fitzpatrick.
And if all Dookmariot needs him is Week 12 (Cousins bye week & Keenum injured/backup) its a cheap price to pay - yes it is a 2nd - but it is a 2nd in name only. Sort of like if you got on the field 1 time in your life to play football you can call yourself a football player. If Dookmariot clinches the top AFC seed that means his 2nd is a bottom 4 2nd - which in a 16 team league is pick 30-34 range - aka a mid 3rd in a 12 team league. So a 3rd for a short term need & a backup/insurance for Cousins is a smart play.
Valhalla wins because he gets an asset that should cost a draft pick (Rosen) but no one is paying a draft pick for. And he gets another pick to give him extra shots in a hyped class. When you're overhauling a roster - every pick helps. So 2 picks / assets for a QB you have no need / use for (Mayfield & Murray as QBs already) is a win.
Give both teams an A as well.

thebeast hedging his bets - maybe hockeybjj gets into the playoffs and his 2nd is a late one aka a 3rd. Or maybe this gives nation31 enough depth at RB to give him an edge to take the AFC WC spot instead. Interestingly enough earlier in the year Valhalla moved Hyde for less (Hyde + Bridgewater for Dookmariots 3rd and flavour of the week Lazard), but thebeast was able to not only acquire Hyde but also flip him for a 3rd that could be potentially better.
If nation31 gets in, then hockeybjj does not, and his 2nd becomes more worthwhile. However if hockeybjj does get in, then nation31s 3rd is likely 6-8 spots better than Dookmariots 3rd.
Thats what I call a good bet.
nation31 pays a low price for an RB2 with potential RB1 upside, who could still have use beyond 2019. Smart move also.
Give thebeast an A and give nation31 a B.
