Crowder is a hold now for guys like u and me (I’m assuming u also drafted Moore)

I tried to dump Crowder pre-draft. Then Moore was an obvious get for my team when I saw him where I did.

Now I’m hoping for a best case: Crowder’s perceived value is too low to get anything substantial back in trade, so we’re hoping the Jets trade him away, what if he landed in a Tenn or NE type situation. He could suddenly have WR3 or even (with injuries or busts ahead if him on a roster) WR2 value on a real team, WR4/flex value in fantasy. Worst case scenario, he stays put and you’re hedging your bet on Moore. Chin up on Crowder, not dead in the water yet…

Dynasty DeLorean wrote: Sun May 16, 2021 4:19 pm I've been hearing a lot of fantasy "experts" down on Moore because "the Jets are always bad" and I think they are really off base here. Living in NY I have a good understanding of the history of the Jets the past 10-20 years and while they haven't been winning a bunch of playoff games etc they haven't just been a floundering franchise either. They had 8+ wins in 14 of 19 years during the period of 1997-2015. That's... pretty good. Most franchises would sign up for that in a heartbeat. Contrast that with the Browns, who have had just 5 such seasons in the past 30 years. The idea that the Jets have been rock bottom for the last 2 decades and never had any talent because of an innate systemic issue is just patently false. The biggest issue is they've been cursed with bad QB's for 25 years. They haven't done a good job bringing in talent the past 5 years, but that doesn't mean when good talent is brought in that it can't succeed. Robby Anderson had 941 yards in his sophmore season. Jamison Crowder had 847 yards his sophore season. Neither of them are elite talents by any means and they still produced very well for 2nd year players with subpar QB play and coaching. Chris Ivory, Quincy Enunwa, the carcass of LeVeon Bell, Isaiah Crowell, I mean, just what the hell were people expecting these players to do? But they have an all-new coaching staff now that seems to be making the right move and bringing in the right pieces. I'm not saying they'll be world beaters but I think people have a really misguided interpretation of how good the Jets have been the past 20-25 years.
Granted, I was hoping he'd go to a better landing spot, but I agree that going to a bad organization for a WR, RB or TE isn't always doom. Different story for QBs, who I think are very closely tied to the inner workings of coaching and organization competence.

Overall, the Jets have a promising group of WRs with Corey Davis, Denzel Mims, and Elijah Moore. Davis and Mims are more downfield, possession receivers, while Moore can eat in the slot and the YAC game. Sucks that Crowder will keep Moore from playing a lot as a rookie though.

I think the Jets are looking up. They had a good draft and some decent pieces already in place. And their head coach is not Adam Gase. Im excited for my share of Elijah Moore. Great write up.

I'm with you here, feel like now is the time to jump on this offence at cheaper prices, I'm a huge Wilson fan and loved Moore coming out so I'm hoping for big things in the coming years. It can't be stated enough that Gase is gone!!!

This is not a joke:

I actually think Corey Davis is a great value buy right now or target redraft with a real shot at mid to high WR2 production

Just picked him at 2.3 in a 1 QB 12 team league. Really happy to get him there. He has the upside to be the 2nd best WR in this class.

Me too. I really wanted to take Lance with the 2.03 but one owner went wild drafting multiple LBs and the WRs dropped. He's was #3 WR on my board.

One of the best write ups I’ve seen here. Thanks for the material! I’m now hoping he slips for me. Cheers
