Agree 12-14 is the sweet spot. I played 10 exactly once in redraft and didn’t like it, but I wonder if it’s doable if you stretch out staffing requirements?

I’d seriously only be interested in 8 team if it was 2QB *and* SF, and at least 9ish W/R/T

On keeper vs dynasty, I’ve always thought “full” dynasty is a 12 team 40 man keep em all. But keeping 15 players in a 14 teamer plays kinda similar. /shrug
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd
start 2SF, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT

QB: T Lawrence, K Cousins, R Wilson, Z Wilson
RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

If you play dynasty in ANY size league and don’t take it seriously, then I know I can skip right over any of your posts.
More important to me that league size is league makeup. I want to play with committed, active owners. I’d rather knock a leagues members from 12 to 10, or from 10 to 8, of it meant all the other owners were legit. And we got rid off the ones who “don’t take those leagues seriously”

My eggplant is bigger than your eggplant. Tarzan swing from my eggplant. He can't even slurp your tiny eggplant.

You’re right, let’s tighten it up around here fellas. Devonta Smith is skinny, Etienne has a higher ceiling than Najee and that one TE is a freak of nature. On to the draft.

The following season, I started up an 8 team redraft league. After a couple of seasons we expanded to 12. That seems ideal for redraft.
Then in 1995 I discovered dynasty football and helped organize a 16 team league. That is my preferred format ever since.

I played in one 5-man league that we drafted at a fantasy football convention at a casino in Minnesota in 1998. Actually, it was a 10 team league -we each had two teams, one in each division, and didn't get to play ourselves unless both teams made it to the title game. We had a blast since it was a bunch of guys who knew each other only from the newsgroups online.

I have no problem with what size your league is, or what trendy rules you play with, since we are all on our own ff journeys.

Enjoy!!

-oo-

btw - my wife won my work league redraft league last year in our first season. 8 teams, and 3 of them had never played fantasy football before. You just never know.
Agree completely. If it's your league, play however you like. If you like ketchup on your steak, it's your steak have at it. I don't think I would play 8 or 10 teams, but hey do what you like. That having been said, I will never understand how the dumbest rule ever created (PPR) managed to become the "standard" way to play.

OP is clearly trolling. Not wanting wives in leagues? You GTFO with this misogynistic bullshit.
No one is taking you seriously you white knighting Islamaphobe.

That’s right! I’m a Muslim, and fantasy football is Haram for women
