there were 10 more rounds, but i won't go that deep.

i thought the top 3 TEs would go in the 2nd round given the format, but the no premium probably dissuaded many to go TE early. i think starting 2 TEs makes them even more important than a half point premium, but we'll see about that (never played 2TEs or TE premium).

i'm quite happy with my team, even though it lacks in depth and RBs are shite. however, those 2 picks could help with that.

QB: lamar jackson, ryan tannehill, big ben, minshew
RB: carson, cohen, wilson, conner, mattison, duke johnson, ty johnson
WR: aj brown, dk metcalf, corey davis, mike williams, james washington, tre'quan smith, kelvin harmon, randall cobb
TE: kittle, hockenson, arnold, doyle, moreau, oliver, brycen hopkins

'21 picks: 1.08, 1.10

i'm assuming 3 QBs and 3RBs go before 1.08, so i'm left with one of chase or pitts, which i'm happy with. if they go, it means the 3rd best RB or QB is there, which i'm also happy-ish with. then at 1.10 there should be another QB or high end WR. it will probably go in a completely different and unexpected way though, so who knows. might also pack my picks and my '22 1st for proven players.

I play in a couple of these leagues, I'm assuming this is through safeleagues? Keep in mind the turnover penalties are -4 pts. That takes a lot of wind out of the sails of middle of the pack QBs. I like that, because elite QBs are nearly untouchable, but the Daniel Jones' of the world are just ok flex options.
That looks like a pretty solid squad. Seems like TEs and rookie picks slid quite a bit. Kelce and Waller in the 4th is crazy good value. Those guys were as good as mid QB1s the last couple seasons.
In established leagues I don't think there's much chance Pitts gets to 8 in 2Ppr TE. If you can get him that's a slam dunk in this format. I think it's more likely the RB3 makes it to 8, but teams are often RB hungry right after the startup, so who knows.
Good luck!

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

thanks!

it is a free league on sleeper, and it's start 2 TEs, but no premium. unfortunately, turnovers aren't badly punished.
i agree it's unlikely pitts will make it that far, but TEs slipping that much in the startup keeps a glimmer of hope. not that i'd be unhappy with a RB, mind!

Whoops! I confused 2TE with TE 2PPR. That's the Safeleagues format (which also includes the big turnover penalty).
I can't speak to any experience with leagues with required 2TE, but I imagine the effect is the same as TE premium, but with deeper TEs getting a value bump.
