Very Early Question about 1.06

Postby umbrellaacademy2019 » Sun Feb 09, 2020 2:26 pm

10 team Superflex league with IDP and TE premium. I have the 1.06 in the rookie draft and while its still early I believe I know how the first 5 picks will go.

1 QB Joe Burrow (He's the consensus Top pick in Superflex rookie drafts
2 RB Deandre Swift
3 RB DK Dobbins
4 QB Tua Tagovailoa
5 WR Ceedee Lamb or RB Jonathon Taylor

My question to everyone is what would you recommend I target with the 6th pick? I typically like to draft best player available but also realize that I could use a good RB.

Current Skill Positions:
RB: Kamara, Ronald Jones, Kenyan Drake, Tarik Cohen, Justice Hill and Chase Edmunds
WR: Amari Cooper, Godwin, Golladay, Boyd, James Washington and Jalen Hurd

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm interested in how other owners would approach this. Thanks

Probably Jeudy, Raegor, or Ruggs, but impossible to say pre-NFL Draft.

Yeah good point. I was just curious to see what people’s thoughts were so early in the draft process

you'll be in a great spot either way. You get one of the studs without the pressure of choosing the right one. Lamb, Taylor, Jeudy, Akers are all great prospects for a mid 1st

Dependent on his landing, you'd also need to consider Herbert IMO.

My current Qbs are Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, Teddy Bridgewater, Gardner Minshew and Kyle Allen. Herbert is in the conversation but the team before is I think could snag Herbert if tua is already gone.

The two teams at the top of the rookie draft desperately need QBs so it would be tough for me to get him. I may have a shot at Herbert at 1.06

With Teddy Bridgewater rumored to be signing a 3 year 63 million contract with the Panthers; I’m thinking best player available.

With his combine, I don’t think Jonathon Taylor will be there for me at 1.06. I would assume it would be lamb,Jeudy, Akers or possibly dobbins

if only 2 rbs get primo landing spots I'd be looking to move up and chase that ceiling play.

I figured I would bring this back up as my rookie draft is next weekend. Based on recent information this is how I see the 5 picks going before me.

1 Joe Burrow
2 CEH (the owner at this spot lit up about the Damien Williams opt out)
3 Tua (this team really needs young QB depth. has Watson, brees and Big Ben)
4 Herbert (this team has Stafford, Baker, Taylor, Flacco). Could possibly go Jonathan Taylor
5 Jonathan Taylor/ Dobbins

So at 6 I expect to have 2 of the following 3 Rbs sitting there ( Swift, Dobbins and Taylor). QBs get drafted high so I don't think Herbert falls to me. I'm leaning towards Swift and Dobbins being there. I think Swift is the better athlete but Dobbins is on a more explosive offense. What would you do? I think I'd pick Swift.

Current RBs. Kamara, Drake, Rojo, Cohen, Justice Hill, C Edmonds, Mckinnon
