Kerryon vs Rookie RBs

Postby MUELL » Sun Jan 26, 2020 10:40 am

How would y’all rank Kerryon Johnson compared to Swift, Dobbins, Taylor, Akers?
Looking into dealing Kerryon for a mid first.

I don't think Kerryon is bringing that kind of return anymore, especially in SF.

I would think most people have him ranked below all of those rookies.

I own Kerryon in a 2019 1QB startup. I thought he'd get more done in the passing game, but that didn't manifest. I have been trying to move him without any success. I just don't believe in his ability to stay healthy. I'm willing to move on and take a shot on any of those RBS you listed. I wish I could.

If he and Stafford stay healthy I think he has the ability to be a top 20 maybe even top 15 back. I think towards the upper end of top 10 is his ceiling but I think that’s unlikely. This is all based on them not drafting a rb

x3 I wouldn't pay a 1st for Kerryon either, especially in superflex. If you can get any 1st, I'd sell him ASAP.

Finally, had an owner in my 16tm SF send me a Kerryon offer.

Guy has not shown the ability to stay healthy, I'd rather take my chances on Swift/Dobbins/Taylor at this point.

I think today, you'd be lucky to get a first for him.

I’d buy at Any pick after Acres is drafted if I needed a RB. He’s still only 22. Ya, he’s had two injuries but they were unrelated. I’m giving him one more year. All RBs not named Frank Gore are injury prone.

Especially in 16 team. Be hard to get some e with that upside in that format.

Look at it this way, would you trade Shenault, Ruggs, Jefferson for Johnson? I don’t think I would as hard as it is to get RB production.

KJ is behind all those guys you mentioned IMO. Looking at my early rankings I'd probably slot him in after Helaire and Vaughn so likely wouldn't be a buyer in SF anything better than 2.05/6 at the earliest.
My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):

Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL

Actually, I would say that is an amazing deal for KJ. Give me all of those rookie RBs and CEH... maybe others depending on landing spot. Mid 2nd is the earliest I would consider trading and even then I'd have to be very RB needy. I think his time is running out. Career reminds me of Ajayi.
