Haskins Outlook

Postby Benchwarmer101 » Sun Nov 17, 2019 11:10 pm

What are your thoughts on Haskins. He had a decent day today vs the Jets. There’s no doubt he had arm talent. Can he learn To be an NFL QB?

Certainly possible, but I've never been a fan, and I don't trust WAS at all to build around him. I'd sell for any 1st.

He's surprised me this year. Doing better than I expected in a situation he has no right to exceed in. Were it not for the team he plays for, and the aforementioned coaching staff, I'd be recommending him as a buy low. As is, he may be good sell candidate if you're able to get the sort of value he demanded during the draft.

he was pretty bad vs the Jets though a lot of it is not on him. He is borderline failing out of the starting job in 2020. hard to say where it will end up with 5 games to go but likely he at least starts 2020 as.. starter

If Haskins was truly Snyder's guy, then a coach will get hired who will attach their wagon to the kid. Based on Snyder and Bruce Allen it would appear it's unlikely that Haskins gets Rosen'ed in 2020 but they'll be at the top of the draft board come April...so who knows.

Are Burrow/Tua/Herbert > Haskins? I'm really starting to grow weary of these 1YR Starter types that aren't big time dual threats like Cam.

2QB/SF, if Haskins is your QB2 then I think you need to worry and try to add someone via the draft or trade. With these developmental guys (Haskins, Trubisky, etc)...I think you take a chance on them as your QB3 or QB4 but I'd be scared to have them any higher than that on my roster.

I think it all depends what WAS surrounds Haskins with in the offseason as far as weapons and a coaching staff. That will determine how much faith they have in him. Also what they do with the rest of their rostered QB's.

Bumping this thread. Any thoughts on Haskins? He has tremendous talent. But he’s young. Needs to sit behind a vet QB1 for 2 more years.
