Baker Mayfield vs Leveon Bell

Postby Charles in Charge » Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:12 am

For team in my signature, another owner is hitting my up pretty hard about Leveon Bell. I am not that impressed with this offer, but wanted to see if I am looking at this objectively.

GIVE Le'veon Bell and Philip Rivers
GET Baker Mayfield, DeDe Westbrook, and Dion Lewis (no interest in Lewis at all)

I am really high on Mayfield, but not at this price. I feel I am a real contender for the championship this year, and was looking for a 2nd QB, but acquiring Mayfield has me intrigued. If I tried to get the other owner to add Chris Carson instead of Lewis, I feel it is closer, but am curious to hear different reactions to the deal.

I would take Mayfield over Bell in a heartbeat in a deep 20-team superflex format. If you can get Carson instead of Lewis, that would be great, but this is an instant accept for me as is.

Um.. In Superflex I would accept that deal in a heartbeat as well, and I'd be laughing as I hit accept.

For reference, I was in 2 SF (also TE premium) startups this year and Baker went 1.12 (QB3) and 2.04 (QB4) off the board, while Bell went in rounds 3.06 and 3.08 in those.
Now maybe Bell went a bit later than he should have, but it's still Baker by a mile and then some imho.

Thanks guys for the input. After some further negotiations, we finally settled on the following deal (he actually proposed it), and I couldn't be happier.

GAVE Le'veon Bell and Alex Smith
RECEIVED Baker Mayfield and Jakeem Grant
