Rookie QB's

Postby IR1 » Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:22 am

New to superflex and joining 12 team superflex with picks 1.7/1.8. Current QB's are Wentz, Cousins and Bridgewater. Assuming Murray will be gone, but would those picks be too early to grab Haskins or Jones?

Most drafts I've seen, Haskins is gone by 1.07 or 1.08, so definitely not too early. That said, I'm not personally a fan of him and have no interest in owning him. If you're concerned about QB depth, I'd rather trade down from 1.08 to the early 2nd and grab Jones there.

I'd take Haskins there just for trade value. I've seen him go as high as 1.02 and the 8th pick is kind of an avoid zone for me if DK is gone

Not too early for Haskins. Borderline for Jones, I wouldn’t call it dumb. I’m not sold on him yet (I’m not sold on any QBs this year yet) but I’ve heard mostly good news and feel his value only goes up, for the short term, and even if it dips it shouldn’t be huge.

Thanks for input. Had myself convinced to wait for the 2nd round and see who was available. Just check adp for rookie sf- Haskins was listed #7. Waiver wire is pretty bare. Guess I'll see how the draft goes but leaning Haskins if still available

Although Washington could be a trainwreck, I'd rather take my shot on Haskins over Jones or Lock.

Getting him at the "end" of the first round is good value. In my two leagues (2QB+SF), Haskins went 1.04 and 1.10.

So, Haskins went at 1.06, ended up with Sanders and AJ Brown
