SF startup sanity check

Postby jwconnel » Sat Jun 08, 2019 8:32 pm

I haven't done many of these, but I need a quick sanity check here.
12 team startup, 6pt TDs, 0.5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1SFlex, 1K, 1Def

I traded away my first pick (1.05) for 2.05, 2019 1st (rookie draft after startup), and 2020 1st. I'm one pick away and Wilson, Luck, Mayfield and Watson are all still available. Am I missing something or has QB value dropped like a rock since I last did a non-auction startup? I have 2.05 and 2.08 and plan to snag two of those guys. I just think it's too much value to pass up and risk waiting to get someone like Kelce or Mixon. If they keep falling, I'm not sure what I'll do...

This is the best-case scenario for you. Two guys who should be gone at 1.05 and four who should be gone by 2.05 are all there. You trade down just hoping and praying that this is the case. So, yeah, take advantage!!

Super! Just draft the two best young QBs, let your league mates learn this lesson down the line, and consider those 2 1sts as freebies.

I got Luck and Mayfield after someone snatched Watson, but I’m still happy. After 4 picks, I started with Luck, Mayfield, Diggs and DJ Moore. If pretty much all QB’s below Wentz are still available in the 5th, should I scoop up some more? I mean, Cam Newton in the 5th of a SF is crazy value right?

Either Newton or Wentz would be great in the 5th. I would prefer Wentz.

I agree with picking Wentz as well. Great value
