These are the picks I had before this years draft:

Roster
QB: Mayfield Baker, Jackson Lamar, Keenum Case, Hill Taysom

WR: Kupp Cooper, Miller Anthony, Ridley Calvin, Cole Keelan, Quinn Trey, Valdes-Scantling Marquez, Williams Tyrell, Beasley Cole, Watson Justin, Grant Jakeem, Kearse Jermaine

This is how the first two rounds played out:

ME 1.02 Harry
ME 1.03 Jacobs
1.04 Montgomery
ME 1.05 Hockenson
1.06 Sanders
1.07 Samuel
ME 1.08 Haskins

1.10 AJ Brown
1.11 Jones
1.12 Metcalf

Second round gets fun
ME 2.01 Fant
ME 2.02 Traded 2.02 and 2020 2nd for 2020 1st, Campbell Picked
2.03 Hardman
ME 2.04 from the 1.09 trade, Traded 2.04 and 2020 2nd for 2020 1st, Isabella Picked
ME 2.05 Trade 2.05 and 2.08 for 3.11 and 2020 1st, M. Brown Picked
2.06 Butler
ME 2.07 Smith Jr.
ME 2.08 traded in the 2.05 trade, JJAWS Picked
ME 2.09 Traded in the 1.09 trade Mattison Picked
2.10 Harris
2.11 Hill
2.12 Not picked yet

After the two rounds I ended up with:
Harry
Jacobs
Hockenson
Haskins
Mike Williams (in trade)
Fant
Smith Jr
3.11
3 additional 2020 firsts

2020 draft now looks like: 6- 1st, 1- 2nd, 3- 3rd, 1- 4th

This is how you win on draft day for sure. However, of all the trading you did I would have liked to see you pick up some 2nd or 3rd year vets as well. I understand planning for the future but I’m not sure you’re going to have all 250 rookies you picked hit.

QB - R. Tannehill, T. Bridgewater

WR - J. Jeudy, H. Ruggs, T. Higgins, L. Shenault, C. Claypool, J. Reagor, C. Davis, J. Washington, B. Aiyuk, Q. Cephus, KJ Hamler, A. Lazard

Picks - 2021 - 1, 1, 1

Jabroni Beaters - 10Team - 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/2FLEX/1K - NONPPR
QB - P. Mahomes B. Mayfield
RB - S. Barkley, E. Elliott, JK Dobbins, A. Peterson, M. Breida, D. Freeman
WR - T. Hill. AJ Brown, DJ Moore, J. Jefferson, J. Edelman, B. Aiyuk, L. Shenault, JJAW, B. Edwards

Starting requirements would be helpful, because this is a LOT of players and you already had some nice young pieces at say WR. Roster limits? Can you keep on these darts?

Assuming there is a flex spot where a TE could go, I think you are LUCKY that you wound up with both the TEs this year. I'm not sure how 1.4 didn't take Hock. Actually, anything I'm saying for the TEs you could also say for Haskins. So, you either know your league/league mates or you got supremely lucky. Fant at 2.1 is bonkers. Irv that late also seems weird. Where's Drew Lock? So after that... I guess we can actually look at how you did.

Given what your plan APPEARS to be, if I were you, I would have offered up the picks of Harry and Jacobs to others, accumulated more draft capital (especially if you could have gotten 2020 1sts for them), that way their production this year wouldn't hurt your own pick next year. If you like Harry and Jacobs that much more than the others (or next years talent) then OK.

The 1.9 trade is fine and cumulatively just looking at picks, it's fine. 1.9, 2.9, 2020 2nd for Mike Williams and a 2020 1st. That seems like a win. However, Isabella was there at the 2.4 and I'm a fan of him especially at that spot. Though, in .25 PPR he may not be so strong.

The 2.2 trade looks fine when considering the picks and talent next year, but Campbell being there is a different story. Even if you may wind up with a better talent, it might not be in the perfect situation like Campbell.

Next trade was Hollywood and JJAWS for 2020 1st. That one will get mixed reviews for sure.

I'd probably see if you could move Harry and Jacobs personally. If you could turn them into 2020 1sts and maybe 2nds that's a win.

In your format it's hard to believe you came away with the top 3 TEs, the 2nd QB, top RB, top WR. Can't argue necessarily with the trades that were made, though some players fell farther than they should have. Kudos on either knowing your league or getting lucky.

Thanks for your review! Just to clarify, roster is 28 in season and 3 taxi spots (rookie only), 32 at draft. line up is 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 SF, 3 Flex(WR,RB,TE). I also updated the post, TE is 1.5 PPR, WR/RB is 1.0 PPR and also .25 point per carry.

I was trying to trade out of the 1.02 and 1.03 to get better value but had no takers. As for the TEs, I agree I'm very surprised with how they fell. I knew the 1.04 was not taking a TE he needed RB help bad. Also just going off of last years draft, there were no TE taken in the first so I was hoping this continued and it did. At the 2.01 Fant was a gift, if the trade didn't happen at 1.09 I would have taken Fant there. And Smith at 2.07 I had to.

At the 2.02 pick, I agree and Campbell would have been my pick. If I knew the I was going to get 2 other players willing to trade their 2020 1st I would have taken Campbell. After I made that trade the offers just flooded in.

I agree I have young potential, some will hit some will not. Hopefully I identify the nots soon and recoup some value. With 6-1st next year gives me a crap ton of draft capital. My play was not to be competitive this year (but not tanking either) and fine out what additional pieces I need based off who hits and who does not. If I need RB's Ill pick them up in the 2020 draft, if I need WR I'll use the picks to get 2-3 year old WR. Big plan is to win the 2020 season and sustain.

QB: Lock went 3.01 and Grier went 3.05

Again thank you all for your replies.

That’s a good draft and I like the 2nd rounds for the 2020 1sts. Now you have the entire off season to try and consolidate rookies for upside/proven vets

I love what you are doing. You are turning your roster into a bunch of highly talented players/prospects. Of course a bunch will miss but with you having so many high quality prospects you have increased your odds of hitting on studs.

I also love the plan you are taking. The only trade I would have hesitated on was the trade for the 2.05 and the 2.08. I would have love to have walked out of that draft with Butler and JJAWs....but I have them higher than most. The fact that you have 6 1st rounders for draft/trade capital is amazing. Love your prospects for next year.
