The rookie draft of my standard Superflex 12-team league is projected to go as follows:
1. Murray
2. Haskins
3. Jacobs
4. Nkeal
5. Daniel Jones
6. Lock

Im not really surprised by this. QBs are the most sought after asset to own. But what say you? I also have pick 7, who are you taking in that spot?

Jones and Lock are massive reaches. I'm in a 16 team 2 QB and Jones went 1.15. Lock went somewhere in early to mid round 2.

"Projected" by you? I wouldn't count on Jones and Lock going that early...if that is indeed how the draft plays out though, it'd be a steal to grab your preference of Montgomery or Sanders at 1.07. In fact, I'd try to trade for 1.08 as well in that case.

I dont see Jones or Lock going that early. Even with teams lacking in QBs. DK, Brown, Butler, Sanders, and Montgomery will likely go before. Possibly Campbell, Butler, Hock, and Fant as well?

Just in my leagues, I'm projecting (personally) Jones and Lock going mid-second, early second round at best.

But if you're accurate in your projections for your league, congrats! Serious value dropped in your lap!

Agreed with the others; this is not at all how most drafts are going that I've seen.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Jones just isn't that great of a prospect.

I agree, Jones is not that great of a prospect, but I have to agree here. In a 16 team 2 QB (not even superflex??) league I can't imagine any QB that has a chance of sniffing the starting spot goes that late.

Back to the OP, that is definitely a bit much on the projections. I think Lock and Jones go early 2nd, maybe late 2nd for Jones in a superflex.

My draft is next Saturday, Ill be sure to post the results! I just dont understand this Daniel Jones hate. He went 6th and will be given every opportunity and some to be a starter in the league. Ill take him pick 10 if hes still available.

QB draft spots in my 12 team Superflex league:
1.01 Kyler Murray
1.03 Dwayne Haskins
2.01 Drew Lock
3.02 Daniel Jones
4.01 Will Grier

One team owned 5/12 picks in the 1st and 8/12 picks in the 2nd and didn't take any QBs, which at least partially explains Daniel Jones falling so far.

Last year, I think Mayfield, Darnold + Rosen all warranted early picks...as they had solid statistical profiles from a number of different analytics folk out there. Jackson and Allen in the late 1st or early 2nd felt about right.

There's no way in bleep I'm touching Lock or Jones in the 1st, period. Maybe if they're there in the late 2nd...MAYBE...just to accumulate QBs but I think I'd rather throw a 3rd or 4th on someone like Grier...where how do you know Cam's shoulder will continue to hold up?

SF is an interesting beast. I've observed many seasoned dynasty owners new to SF either overvalue or undervalue QB's initially. A few of my SF leagues undervalued QB's the first year or two, but they quickly catch up.

Yes QB's are important, but passing on top WR's, top TE's and top RB's in rookie drafts to take ... Daniel Jones or Drew Lock... uhh no thanks. Then again, the payoff if you're right could be worth it - just ask last year's dart throwers who snagged Allen! Don't ask the Rosen owners. LOL

Haha! +1... yeah. And I doubled down on Rosen in both of my leagues too
