Rookie draft start for SF

Postby ItsHandsomeDave » Tue Apr 30, 2019 3:55 am

Im in a few leagues, most being 12 team SF full PPR. Im not sitting with many early picks this year, most of mine are from 1.4 or later.

Im curious to know how everyone has the first 5-6 picks placed at the moment, particularly in SF?

In my view, its

1.1 Murray
1.2 Haskins
1.3 and 1.4 - Harry and Jacobs depending on team need really
1.5 onwards is going to be all over the show.

The player I am not sure about is Haskins. If he is sitting there at 4 or 5, what are you guys doing? I find that this is a pretty tough draft this year and you are going to need some luck with it all. Also given that uncertainty, Haskins probably makes the most sense even if you need to fill out other positions. I dont know if I am that high on the guy but my thinking at the moment is that with the other landing spots for the rookie QB's its unlikely any of the them see the field for the next year or two barring injury.

Not a fan of Haskins. I'd say:

1.01 Murray
1.02 - 1.05 Jacobs, Montgomery, Sanders, Harry in some order

1.06 is the earliest I'd reach for Haskins

I'm having a hard time with this too. I need another QB and am almost thinking of trading the 1.05 for Matt Ryan (Ryan owner is in full rebuild). Does Ryan have enough in the tank to make a move like this? I don't have my 2020 1st either.

1st Round of a Superflex/2QB would probably look like, in no particular order:

- Murray
- Haskins
- Jacobs
- Sanders
- Harry
- Brown
- Metcalf
Then you sprinkle in the rest of guys like: Montgomery, Marquise, Campbell, Samuel, Whiteside, Hockenson/Fant. I'm sure someone could also take a Hardman/Isabella in there.

With how bad rookie WR's have been lately, I'm possibly thinking about just going either QB or RB in my rookie drafts (2 of them). Sanders and Murray would be my preferred option with Jacobs + Haskins following that. Not sure how I feel about Montgomery, also considering one of my rosters is littered with Bears: Trubisky, Robinson, Burton, D/ST lol.

12 Teamer that I'm in went...

1.01 Murray - thinking this is near consensus in SF
1.02 Jacobs; 1.03 Harry - unless someone goes Haskins or really, really likes a different RB, this kind of looks like a tier to me
1.04 Sanders; 1.05 Montgomery - also seemingly a tier from what I've seen, again with the possibility of Haskins sprinkled in
1.06 Haskins - seems like the latest he'll go in 12-team plus
1.07 Hock; 1.08 Fant - it's 1.5 PPR for tight ends, so it makes sense, I think

8 of the next 9 were WRs. I took Daniel Jones in the middle of the 8 WRs because I have a hard time passing up QBs who were drafted highly (took Josh Allen last year too).
