Mahomes for Gordon

Postby Charles in Charge » Mon Jun 11, 2018 8:35 pm

Get Patrick Mahomes
Give Melvin Gordon

Definitely weakens my RBs, but how much longer can I sit with Phillip Rivers as my only qb? It is a 20 team super flex league, and my team is below. Thoughts on a deal like tbis?

NO. Give up DT or preferably that bust for Parker (if possible) for a startle QB, older but start worthy. MG is a top 5 RB. Mahomes is a nothing yet. He reminds me of Jeff George, cannon arm, but not a mind that can run an offense and excel on an NFL level. We shall see, but I'd take keep Gordon and flip DT/Parker for a QB I know can play in the NFL. Mahomes has the cannon arm, but I'm not sold. Personal opinion.

Mahomes >>> Gordon in a super deep 20-team superflex. If you can get that done, I'd do it ASAP.

DT/Parker gets nowhere close to Mahomes in a 20-team SF league. DT + Parker gets nowhere close. DT or Parker is closer to Mahomes value in a SINGLE-QB league at this point...

I wouldn't put that many "greater than" signs, but I agree that Mahomes is more valuable (and his value is more variable).

The value is on the Mahomes side, but I'd be searching for a different trade than that with your roster.

Your roster is decidedly win-now with a huge advantage at non-QB positions. If you're shopping Gordon, I'd be looking for a more veteran QB that's worth less than Mahomes but projected for more this year on top of a RB that is at least startable. From a projected points stand point, I think the Mahomes trade makes your team worse by a fair margin. I wonder what Cooper could fetch you in the QB market, as he's the most valuable non proven scorer on your team.

This would also depend on if the rookie draft has occurred/what picks you have.

Going to guess not many guys dealing Qb's in a league like this. I would shop a bit but if this is the only thing coming down the pike I would snatch it up in a second. Deep Superflex Mahomes is > than Gordon
