2015 RB Class

Postby mike40 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 7:40 pm

I have a question for someone that is knowledgeable about next years RB prospects that are going to be eligible for the draft. I am in a position in this years draft (1.05,1.09,2.04,2.06) to grab a decent amount of the high end rb talent this year due to the strong WR class. Not really more needy at one position than another, I dont feel. My team is in the the sig, we start 2 RB's and 3 WRs no flex. Question is should I draft more WR heavy this year because the RB class next year will be stronger?
12 team ppr contract league. 25 man roster with 7 player taxi squad. 85 year contract limit

RB - Gibson (6) Mixon (2) Ekeler (1) J White (1)
WR -Tyreek(1), Ridley (3), K Allen (4), Fuller (2), Lazard (3)
TE - Ertz (4) Goedert(4), Irv Smith Jr(6)

Draft talent and trade for need I always say. Unless you are in a league where trades are difficult to make stick to that mantra.

Agreed, go BPA.

But the likely RB class next year IS stacked.

Todd Gurley
Melvin Gordon
Karlos Williams
Mike Davis
Duke Johnson
T.J. Yeldon
Ajayi

Ridiculous.

But don't let it effect your draft this year (though I do believe that a WR will be BPA more often than not this year).

Next year is stacked with talent it's crazy. That said not every one of these guys is going to go to spot where he is going to start immediately.

However as for the OP, if you do have an RB and WR rated pretty closely, take the WR with hope that you can grab an RB in 2015.

Don't know much about 2015 class except the RBs are good and deep and Green-Beckham is supposed to be a name that will go early.

Would you rather have the 2014 or 2015 1.01? Forget team need and having to wait for the 2015 pick.
Currently in 3 dynasty leagues. Have the IDP itch.

As much as I like the 2014 class, I would rather have the 1.01 for 2015 than 2014. This class is good with some solid prospects at QB and RB, no need to describe the talent at WR or TE.

The 2015 class could be even better. There are players at the big three positions (QB, RB and WR) that could be that could be special. I'm guessing the market for 2015 1st round picks is going to be very tight.

I put a lot of time into collecting 2014 1st rounders, and am very happy about it. I am now busy getting in position for 2015.
