WRs Who Can Challenge Jerry Jeudy for the WR1 Spot

Postby RayGQue » Tue Aug 06, 2019 7:17 am

For better or worse we get Alabama on our TV screens each and every Saturday during the fall. This tends to lead us to have Bama bias on the positive and negative sides of the coin.

Jerry Jeudy - an all world blue chip prospect has long been touted as the best WR in the 2020 class...but are we so sure?

Laviska Shenault Jr., CeeDee Lamb, Tyler Johnson, Jalen Reagor are all extremely talented receivers. Three on pretty pathetic teams that receive limited prime air-time. Could one of these guys overtake Jeudy? Or is it a foregone conclusion that he's the top dog?

I like Laviska just as much, and will not at all be surprised if he passes him.

Reagor is up there on my board. He has that Tyreek Hill rare juice
CeeDee Lamb possible
Tee Higgins is next for me
Dark horse Bryan Edwards
It's Jeudy though most likely
I could see Reagor being the first overall WR taken in the actual NFL Draft
12 Team 1QB IDP Full PPR Start 8
QB- Kenny Pickett, Jake Haener, Clayton Tune
RB- Jerrick McKinnon, Elijah Mitchell, Gus Edwards, Kenneth Gainwell, TDP, Jordan Mason
WR- Rondale Moore, Drake London, Jordan Addison, Terrence Marshall , Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Mecole Hardman, Rashid Shaheed, David Bell
TE- Michael Mayer, Likely, Chig, Cade Otten
LB- Jewell, Deablo, Troy Anderson
DE- Phillips, Highsmith
DB- Brisker, Hufanga, Cine
Taxi Squad: Chase Brown, A.T. Perry, Keaton Mitchell, Khalan Laborn, Lew Nichols lll

I am not saying in front of Jeudy but Collin Johnson out of Texas is a handful as well

Reagor is MY Guy - one of my favorite WRs in this class. If he played for any other team outside of TCU his hype would be much higher. I think CeeDee Lamb is fantastic as well. But it's more than likely going to be Jeudy.

I haven’t watched a ton of tape for the 2020 class, which is my disclaimer for:
Ruggs looks to be as good as Jeudy to me and maybe better. From what I’ve seen, Ruggs gets better separation and has better hands.

The 2018 offensive script favored Jeudy in the slot over the 2 guys playing outside. All 3 should be playing on Sunday and it would not surprise me if Jeudy isn’t the best even on his college team.

Jeudy still #1? I haven't even started in on WRs for this year yet

Yes, CeeDee Lamb likely #2, don't think he catches Jeudy but could make it a AJ/Julio like conversation.

Jeudy doesn't check hardly any analytic boxes. Despite some guys hating anayltics, their is history/facts to back this stuff up. He has great tape but i think he is better suited as a compliment piece in the NFL like he was used at Bama (mostly slot guy). I could see him being fantasy relevant if he falls into a Calvin Ridley spot and play second fiddle to another guy. That said...

1. Lamb
2. Reagor
-----------
3. Higgins
3. Jeudy
5. Shenault

Jeudys tape is still impressive enough for me to keep him tied for third.

I'm too ashamed of any of my teams to post.
