But if Penny makes it to the 1.12 as he may, I think he's worth the risk/reward late 1st pickup
How I feel as well especially since to me this wr class is the same at 1.12 as at 1.2 or pretty fricken close

Also agree. But this is why don't see Penny lasting to the 12 pick as a team will trade up if have a RB need to get him with all the WRs the same.

I have the 1.08 and 1.09 in two separate leagues in which i need a RB, depending on landing spot i would have no hesitation at taking him at either spot.
14 Team PPR League 6pts all TDs 1.5 PPR TE
Start QB 2RB 2WR 2Flex 1TE 1K 28 Man Active Roster
QB-Carr, Palmer, Stanton, Gabbert
RB- Ingram, Coleman, Montgomery, West, Smallwood, K. Bibbs, R.Smith, Marshall
WR-A. Brown, Crowder, Maclin, Aiken, Britt, Ginn, Conley, Kupp(R), Coleman, Wallace, T. Mcbride, J. Hunter
TE-Graham, Rudolph,
TS-Joshua Dobbs, Brian Hill, James Connor, Chad Hansen

 A Penny for my thoughts... I think you get what you pay for

So here goes nothing :silent:

Ok, well a tidbit. Supposedly nothing at all in the passing game. Can't see him going high with that being the case. Looks to be the early down guy in a committee which limits his potential. Haven't seen his goal line/ short yardage chops but TD's will be crucial if no passing stats.

For the reasons above I don't have him in second tier til I see him in camps. Late first rd/ early 2nd

34 receptions for the last 2 years ... that is more than Guice's, Chubb's, and RJ's 's college careers.

He can’t pass pro which he needs to learn. But I think he has a shot. He’s my realistic target at 1.6 - unless Chubb somehow falls

I looked at my oldest dynasty and rosters-wise plus talent-wise i'm pretty sure it will be now something like

1.01 Barkley
1.02 Sutton (A bit stacked with LF and Henry with Thompson who can do well as a RB3 but a massive hole at WR position)
1.03 Guice
1.04 Michel (A commish fav)
1.05 Chubb (Could be switched with Guice)
1.06 Ridley (Second commish 1st round pick, it should be WR)

So i could be the odd man out with my 1.07 and Penny an option but definitely a slight reach. I have 3-4 WRs with no particularly preference and/or love. Thinking about moving back to three or four spots so. RB i could target in a trade like Henry. Unless they are low on Ridley overthere too. Jones ? Concerned but don't close the door.

I have the 1.06 with the team in my sig below. Penny is definitely someone I’m considering at that spot. Obviously, landing spot is important with all these guys. But, as of now, Penny is right there with Michel for me as the RB4 behind Barkley, Guice, and Chubb.
Team 1: 12 Team, 0.5 PPR, Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE) - 2020 Champ
QB: Patrick Mahomes, Brock Purdy
RB: Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, Tony Pollard, James Conner
WR: Davante Adams, Cooper Kupp, Keenan Allen, Tank Dell, Tyler Lockett, Marvin Mims, Michael Wilson
TE: Travis Kelce, Dalton Schultz, Isaiah Likely

Team 2: 12 Team, 0.5 PPR, Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX (RB/WR/TE)
QB: Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford
RB: Breece Hall, Joe Mixon, Rachaad White, Keaton Mitchell
WR: Justin Jefferson, Courtland Sutton, Gabe Davis, Jameson Williams, Mike Williams
TE: George Kittle

Team 3: 12 Team, PPR, TE Premium, Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 2 FLEX (RB/WR/TE) - 2023 Champ
QB: Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy
RB: Isiah Pacheco, Kenneth Walker III, Gus Edwards, Ty Chandler, JK Dobbins
WR: AJ Brown, Chris Godwin, Courtland Sutton, Dontayvion Wicks, Khalil Shakir
TE: Dallas Goedert, Darren Waller, Chig Okonkwo

I've had Penny in the middle 1st round picks for a while, I have him in a tier of Michel/Chubb/Penny/Jones. I'm definitely going to look back at the tape again, now that the combine is over and see if I can learn anything more. I currently own 1.04 in 1 league and 1.06 in another. I wouldn't shy away from picking him at 1.04 if the landing spot seems ideal.

Having never seen Penny play ball... I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but I don't like this little blurb.

^ he isn't very good when he gets called on. He gets in the guys way, but not for long and some times he doesn't pick up his mark.
