2016 QBs

Postby rubber_duck » Thu Nov 12, 2015 9:44 am

The early read on quarterbacks for the upcoming draft. A few of the bigger names floating around out there:

Paxton Lynch
Jared Goff
Christian Hackenberg
Connor Cook

Lynch appears the most promising to me. He needs a fair amount on coaching on foot work, but he's a gamer.

Jared Goff may be the next best prospect. Wish he had a stronger arm.

Hackenberg has had an unfortunate college career in no small part because of his own decision to remain with Penn State. I don't think he has the desire or internal drive to play QB at the NFL level.

Cook's stats haven't encouraged me enough to watch any tape at this time.

Another that I'm a little curious about is Thomas Sirk (Duke), but haven't investigated at all yet.

Add Carson Wentz.

Here's a few highlights of a few of the guys mentioned above.

Goff is my favorite, though I would not be enamored by any in the first round. I love everything about Goff save his arm, which I don't feel is as bad as perception would have you believe and is something he can improve upon throughout the course of his career.
