Chiefs shopping Bernard Pollard

Report: Chiefs shopping safety Pollard

The Chiefs are reportedly shopping SS Bernard Pollard.

The Chiefs want to get 31-year-old Mike Brown into the starting lineup because he's outplayed Pollard in camp. Pollard has been one of the team's best defenders the past two seasons, which is damning with faint praise. Still, it's fair to question the direction of this team, which is lacking nucleus talent on both sides of the ball. Sep. 4 - 7:05 pm et

might be looking to aquire two younger players that might can fit in and start ... not quite sure why they would be shopping one of their better defensive players...

Especially to make room for an injury prone 31 year old. It makes no sense. Of course, this wouldn't be their first move that made no sense this year.

Note to Tim Ruskell: The Chiefs are shopping SAFETY Bernard Pollard.

Brian Russell (#25) is bad, shown his in all his glory on a blitz of Matt Cassel:

Chiefs waive strong safety Bernard Pollard

Chiefs waived SS Bernard Pollard.

Another failed Herm Edwards/Carl Peterson high pick, Pollard struggled in coverage throughout his three-year stint in K.C. He's an explosive hitter, though, and could help a team as an in-the-box safety. With only a $530,000 salary, Pollard shouldn't clear waivers. The Chiefs will now turn to Mike Brown as their full-time strong safety. We doubt he holds up for 12 games. Sep. 5 - 7:25 pm et

Pollard was a horrible release by the Chiefs in my opinion.

I can't believe I dropped this guy in a dynasty league.
