Alonso/Kendricks value

Postby wclandis » Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:14 pm

Looks like Alonso will be an eagle. I own both him and Kendricks in a tacle heavy league so I'm curious what the view is on their value now. Thoughts?

Both Ryans & Kendricks have 2016 contracts. Barwin has a 2019 contract. Will be interesting to see who the odd man out will be as Alonzo (contract expires 2017), Ryans & Kendricks are all coming off of injuries. And Brad Jones was just added yesterday... Curious if this trade will prompt a a Ryans/Kendricks trade for higher draft pick., if Kelly is truly eyeing Mariota. All teams in the top 10 of the draft need a solid ILB.

Alonso and Kendricks man the middle, Ryans is gone, Jones is a backup. I think this might even improve Kiko's value.

I'm curious what this does to Kendricks production. He was huge for me down the stretch last year and seemed to be headed to LB1 territory in 2015. A healthy Kiko is sure to take quite a few tackles away maybe putting Kendricks in that LB2 range instead. Maybe he will be used in a package to move up for Mariota. Not sure what if staying or getting out is best for him. That's a pretty dynamic ILB tandem if he's stays though.

I don't think their value changes much. Bradham and Brown's value on the other hand goes up without Kiko there.

I'm actually quite worried about Kiko in a 3-4 away from Dareus and Kyle Williams.

I wrote an article about it if you care to know

Good article!! Explained well some reservations with kiko. One thing to mention though is fletcher cox. Not saying he's as goodns the bills run stuffers but he's pretty talented himself! Will be interesting to see how he fits the scheme. I mean obviously chip knows kikos abilities well. Just curious, what scheme did he play in at Oregon? Also good mention about generous tackle scoring. Biggest small detail of IDP i think.

So Alonso looked pretty damn good week one. Obviously he wont get an INT every week, but he was all over the place and playing every down. They started blitzing him and Kendricks alot in the 2nd half. I think he might be alright.

I have both of these studs on my team and now they are both out with what appear to be significant injuries

Kiko was terrrrrible before he got hurt. The guy is legit afraid of contact which is why he has always been a liability in the run game. I had him at dynasty LB26 prior to this week. He is now out of my top 50. He is pretty much a better version of Emmanuel Lamur (aka a coverage LB that can't handle early down run duties). I'd try to get anything for him if someone wants to try to "buy low". Sad to see the injury but even healthy he was going to disappoint. Eagles were playing Ryans over him in base for a reason. Kiko is liability against the run.

I drafted Jordan Hicks in two leagues and wonder about his role going forward.
