Wesley Woodyard

Postby Hu97 » Tue Jun 04, 2013 8:08 am

I need a good LB #2. Woodyard, who is available in our rookies/free agents draft seems to me like a good, cheap option. Good year in 2012 (18th LB in our league), he is young and on a good defense.

But he is not ranked in the DFL LB rankings and I saw him very low in some other rankings.

Is there a problem with him? Am I missing something?

He is not a Sexy LB, and does not rank out very well in the rankings, but I grab him every chance I get. He is pure value in the IDP leagues where he scores out high.

Should make you a great LB2 in that format, grab him before anyone else discovers he is a hidden gem in you league.

Yeah, he's undervalued right now. Might dip a little from last year's numbers but will still be a solid LB2 at a good value.

I have him ranked LB38 in my rankings. The problem is, Ghost must have missed him so it's throwing the average off. We'll get it fixed.

OK, thanks. But I understand from your rankings (38th) that he is not a LB #2 in your opinion?

No I view him as a number 3 LB in start up leagues but someone I feel comfortable starting each week. He's not elite but he's serviceable. It's not a knock on him. Once you enter a tier of serviceable linebackers, they all start looking the same. If your draft pans out and he ends up being your LB2, you won't be hurting. I would just make sure i had another similar LB to him as my LB3.

I would get him. Looks like denvers gonna keep him in the middle all year. Should be set for a top 15 season.

He got benched last week. I'm glad it didn't affect the outcome of my game. I think I'm going to go with London Fletcher this week. At least I know he'll play.

Yeah, until further notice (i.e. the offseason) I would not start Woodyard. They obviously don't trust him in the middle and I've seen many say that it is not his natural position.

Really glad I flipped him now.
