According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens' "hope" is that RE/OLB Terrell Suggs' Achilles' is not fully torn.
A full tear would require year-ending surgery. GM Ozzie Newsome revealed that the injury occurred on Saturday, just one day after Baltimore traded back and still landed Courtney Upshaw on the draft's second day. Suggs will meet with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Tuesday. Because the injury happened before camp, Suggs will be eligible to open the season on the PUP list.

The Ravens run defense likely won't be nearly as impact as their pass rushing.
From a fantasy standpoint it's absolutely devastating for his owners. Truly elite fantasy DEs are pretty darn rare and there's no plug-and-play replacement option.

Just grabbed Courtney Upshaw in 3rd round of rookie draft, but not expecting anything really - just another frustrated Suggs owner...

For those interested.... Pernell McPhee, I believe will be the full time replacement for Suggs. I know they draft Upshaw but I think he is a push rushing specialist and will only be in for some passing downs. Pernell McPhee showed last year that not only could he help against the run but also recorded 6 sacks last year in a very limit amount of snaps. Also Paul Kruger could get a crack at it.
