Darius Leonard value?

Another team just inquired about Leonard. Unsure what to value him at. Defense scores relatively on par with offense in our league so he’s around WR 7 range. But there’s a much steeper drop off from him to the next tier of consistent linebackers. Any ideas of a good starting price to ask for?

Sell, always sell LBs if you can get a premium for them.

Can you get a couple firsts for him?? Even a single 1st would be an instant accept for me, esp if I could get a piece on top of the pick.

I don't play IDP, but the amount of tackles he has and the amount of turnovers created are pretty elite

Unfortunately the other person has no firsts. I could probably get Bateman. Not sure what else on top.

I'd take Bateman plus a 2nd for Leonard - LBs and DBs are so replaceable in IDP

I generally agree with the Sell vote, but someone like Leonard is so high that I would sell only if it affects my starting line-up. I don't want to take out one of my main LBs just to add a WR that would be on my bench most weeks + a dart throw i.e. 2nd round pick. This all assumes that the number of IDP is close or equal to the number of Offensive players.

I would sell for a first that is likely early, but to a strong contender i.e. late first I would pass. The top LBs normally get drafted in the early second, and you pray and hope they become like Leonard.

What I like to do is package an IDP to upgrade a spot. Say Leonard + Miles Sanders for Mixon, or Leonard + OBJ for Claypool type deals (player names just examples), and then backfill the IPD spot.
