Kwity Paye vs. Jaelan Phillips

Postby SkillsPino » Thu Aug 26, 2021 10:56 am

I put myself in a tough spot at DE this year, but I did draft both guys. I need to put one of them in my lineup.

Kwity seems to be having a good camp, got his first sack in their last preseason game and he also get's 4 games against the Texans & Jags. I'm leaning towards him over Phillips, anyone think Phillips has the better potential this season?

Phillips had a minor foot injury to start camp, but is healthy now. Didn't have a great first game, but has been seeing a lot of snaps and doing well at camp.

Any insight would be welcome, thanks!

I think Paye probably plays more snaps this season, so I’d give him the slight edge here

Are you unable to switch your lineup along the way? I think paye is the safer bet to at least produce something this year, I think the range of outcomes for Phillips is wider and includes higher highs though

I can switch my lineup, but I'll redshirt one of them, so they don't count against my cap. Once they are redshirted, they are inactive for the year in our league.

Paye looks great so far. Rookies tend to struggle with NFL vet OTs - they’re generally stronger and quicker than what they’ve seen before. Paye has more than held his own and figures to be a key member of that D. I like Phillips too, but not quite as much.

Rousseau and Tryon are the best pass rushers in this draft. P Turner doesn't get enough credit either although he's more solid than explosive.

Tryon is listed as an LB in MFL. So he is a no go.

I watch the first half of Bills-Packers this week and Rousseau looked really good. I didn't look at his stats, but it felt like he was in on every play. He was drafted in our league, but I have him on my watch list for a potential trade down the road.
