Pick 7 Defensive Keepers

Postby StripesOfKC » Mon May 03, 2021 3:51 pm

Start 4 DB, 3 DL, 4 LB in our lineups

Second year of an orphan and one draft under my belt

DBs: Eddie Jackson, Marlon Humphrey, Chuck Clark, Kyle Dugger, Xavier McKinney
DL: Marcus Davenport, Chris Jones, Grady Jarrett, K'Lavon Chiasson, Ed Oliver, Jeffrey Simmons
LB: Logan Wilson, Brian Burns, Josey Jewell

I am guessing LB is the most pressing need to be addressed in the draft

Scoring is fairly standard but slightly more skewed to sacks (highest scoring players are still all LBs with some safeties)

Anyone?

Not much experience playing IDP so the defensive keeper side confuses me a bit compared to offense

Several good names on the DL, any chance of trading for a LB upgrade? Bonus points for int? Usually don’t worry too much about db’s unless they are elite

INTs are still 3 (which I assume is standard) with passes defended=1 and sacked worth 3 points

An LB upgrade might be possible closer towards the season but for now can probably only be planned through the draft (12 rounds featuring rookies and FAs--have all my picks)

Scoring tends to be dominated by LBs and DBs but only specific hybrid safeties (Jeremy Chinn types for example)

Unfortunately, I don't see any cornerstone players on this list. I would make it a goal to upgrade my entire defense, starting at linebacker.

I agree the dbacks are dime-a-dozen types, and though your dline has some decent pieces, that position is more support. You need to land a stud or two, preferably at lb.

Good luck!
