2.04 and no IDP off board yet. Give a 1st for 2 2nds?

Postby saw061600 » Thu Apr 30, 2020 5:53 am

None of the IDP guys off board yet for team 2. I finished 2nd last year and no reason I shouldn't be in the hunt again this year.

I'm waiting to make sure I can get 2 of the top 4 guys but considering offering my 2021 first for 2 later round 2nds (8 and 10, or 9 and 11).

Too rich for 2 LBs or Chase and 1 LB?

I wouldn't do it. You expect the 1st to be later next year but you never know what could happen. What if Dak gets hurt and Mixon holds out? Keep your first for next year.

I'd lean to keep the first. I assume idp scoring is light if those players are available. If it's heavy scoring, I'd be willing to send a hopefully late future first for Young and Simmons

Scoring puts the DL at TE (none as high as Kelce) and LB closer to WRs. DBs in this format (pass defense scored) are actually where I can often make gains. Nobody seems to be valuing this class highly. 2 LBs off the board now Murray and Queen. Maybe I'll offer Cooks for the 2 2nds. I don't know.

I'm sure this scenario has already came and gone, but I feel like responding anyway. Your scoring sounds like it might be really similar to mine and the top end IDP guys still go in the late 1st early second almost every year. However, I laugh at the people who draft DL in that spot. Cam Hayward who's been in the league forever and never produced at an elite level was the DL2 last year... that should tell you all you need to know about the position. Yes, the top end guys are always in the top 24ish but they move around an insane amount unless it's someone like JJ Watt used to be. The position doesn't score that many points relative to other positions, and there are always SEVERAL affordable guys in our free agent draft that have the potential to be a top 10 guy. If an offensive player is available in our free agent draft that has top 10 potential its instantly going to cost you 20% of your cap (salary cap league). Replacement value is important.
12 team IDP Salary Cap w/ contracts 40 man roster + 20 taxi spots | 4 year max contract w/ Franchise(1)/Transition(2)/RFA Tags). Mostly mirrors real NFL.
