Rookie Safeties

Postby ckrumm24 » Wed Apr 01, 2020 6:32 am

Hi all,

My roster was hurting all last year at the DB position (S/CB). Has anyone done scouting on the incoming Safeties? To me it doesn’t look like any of them are locks to have significant fantasy impacts like a Collins or Adams. What ya think?
12 team IDP Salary Cap w/ contracts 40 man roster + 20 taxi spots | 4 year max contract w/ Franchise(1)/Transition(2)/RFA Tags). Mostly mirrors real NFL.

To me, landing spot is gonna be a big factor. I normally just stream them anyway (especially so with CBs). Depending on how many you start, the waiver wire normally has a few good options, especially in a 12 team league.

I am in a 10 teamer that each start 2 DBs (safety or CB). Just grab whatever guys have high tackle totals the first couple of weeks and ride them as long as they are getting the snaps. DBs are just above kickers in how replaceable they are.

Not familiar with the rookies. In my 10 teamer we start 2-3 cb, and 2-3 safeties. The top 10 safeties are somewhat valuable, probably along the lines of LB2

Xaiver McKinney is probably your safest bet. He plays the run and plays in the box really well, but scheme is going to have a lot to do with him obviously.
I have too many teams to list...
