End of an Era: Kuechly retires

Postby Needalife » Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:25 pm

What a career! This guy was a massive difference-maker for many years. I always hated facing him in IDP as he scored so consistently high. Just a great player but happy to see it wasn't ended by another concussion.

Here's to on of my favs. Keep an eye out for whoever replaces that spot. Carolina is always a good spot for IDP.

Sucks as a panthers fan but I understand it with all the concussions. Maybe they’ll move Shaq Thompson to the inside? He’s got the speed to cover the whole field and has the prototypical smaller mlb build. Don’t remember hearing about a good mlb prospect in this years draft unless Simmons fits the bill. Maybe they’ll sign Martinez or schobert

Big shoes to fill, I think we put some energy into this search this offseason either through FA, the draft, or both. Shaq will stay at WLB I’d say.

Read in an article yesterday that they still have to pay the majority of his contract for next year but he’ll be off the books next year. They’ll only save about 3.6 million in cap space this coming season unfortunately

Well that’s unfortunate... team is gonna look pretty different next year I suppose, in a way it’s kind of exciting.
