Sounded like he was scared about concussions..and considered retirement. Talks about his family in the piece too. Some things are more important than money. In theory, I like this take. However, how do you balance that eye toward future picks vs league winning production? Get any 1st for him, or multiple 2nds.
It’s so rare that a LB stays a league-winner year after year. I know everyone's IDP scoring is different, but in each of my leagues a LB can score around the same as a mid-RB1. I'd rather hang on to that player during the season and keep the production, and trade them in the offseason.
