Ogletree Trade

Postby nyterp » Wed Jul 31, 2019 8:42 am

Was essentially offered a 2020 2nd, probably mid, and Malik Hooker for Alec Ogletree. I am in full rebuild and Ogletree is one of the few assets on my team a contender might want that I would be willing to move. It is a contract league, but they don't matter a ton in this scenario.

For reference:
Ogletree scored 194 points in the regular season and was LB12 by scoring system (2 T, 1A, 2 TFL, 3 Sack, 4 PD, 4 INT, 6 TD).

Top IDPs usually go mid to late first round in drafts in this league.

You can click on the "Charm City Justice" link below if you want more info about my horrible roster or the league.

Thanks in advance.

That roster needs a big rebuild but you already know that.
I would take that for Ogletree in a heartbeat, he seems to score well but I don’t believe he’s actually that good, when I’m rebuilding I tend to try and lock up and solid offence first. IDP can be manoeuvred through late draft picks and waivers.

Good luck with the rebuild

I agree with Dunville with how to use IDP outside of a select few players I had namely Luke Kuechly I had forever I usually rotate IDP and find most of them off waivers or 3rd or 4th round picks.

Off waivers the past few years in my oldest league I was able to grab Budda Baker, Jesse Bates, Melvin Ingram and Jordan Hicks. What I usually do is try and play matchups if I need to on a few spots and its served me well.

I would do that and then offer up hooker and get a 2nd pick, whatever I could get, out of the deal

I’m taking that deal for a rebuild for sure. I agree to then sell hooker for whatever you can get. Deep FS aren’t going to score you points. At least Hooker has a name people will feel has value.
