When I took him at 4.12, I had 2 people immediately (and separately) send me PMs lamenting the fact that he was their next pick.
I dont know. Its a DFL sponsored league with several regular posters...some I think who post in this subforum. I kept reading this thread and watching him fall and finally I just couldn't take it anymore. IDP scoring isn't super high but its not super low either. There's still like 4 more guys I want to get but there's only a couple of picks left in the draft.

FAs are also available in this particular draft starting in the 4th so things get a bit muddled. 8th is still too late and if I had had a pick past the 5th I'd have grabbed too. 😉😉 That is if we're in the same league, which sure seems likely.

Just traded up to get Tavai again.

16 team league.

I gave 2020 4th and a spare 2020 6th I had laying around

I got 2019 4.11 (Pick 59) which I used for Tavai.

Thoughts on the two rookie LBs that Cle took? I know they are set with Schobert/Kirksey but expect that Schobert could be lost via FA after this year. Browns need to free up cap space next year if they want to keep him I believe.

I’m not a fan of their early pick at all - Takitaki. He played a ton on the edge last year (and seemed bad at it), plays sluggishly and reacts with poor instincts. I don’t see it.

Mack Wilson was a very highly-touted prospect all winter, getting mocked in the top 50-75 picks consistently. His tape isn’t perfect (obviously), but he flashed elite coverage ability AT TIMES.

Both guys should be stashed in a very deep league but only if the league is rostering at least 700-800 total players.

I did just dropped Adrian Phillips to pick up a free Takitaki.

Philips always plays a good amount of LB snaps so he has a high floor for a DB, but no ceiling.

Takitaki at least offers theoretical ceiling as a day 2 pick, and he was free, so... I’m fine with that.

I was happy to sell Phillips this offseason. Traded him for a mid round 5th, which i then turned into a 2020 4th. I have trouble seeing him getting much LB time while all the guys are healthy. That LB squad gets White back, added Thomas Davis, has a healthy Perryman back, still has Jatavis, and added Traquill. Phillips could still be a Nickel backer (with White), but those aren't odds i'm taking. Could be the FS as well, but without those LB snaps, his numbers should drop a solid amount.

Genard Avery is a name to monitor. He had a nice rookie year and he can play both on the edge and off ball.

Tavai still flying under the radar. Just grabbed him in the middle of the 7th round in a 12 team superflex league with pretty high IDP scoring (Leonard #11 overall, LB2 thru 10 score 250-260 pts)

Last year in this league I drafted Fred Warner at 6.05, and flipped him during this draft for 3.02 Hopefully I can do the same thing with Tavai 😎

Order of LB drafted

White 1.12
Bush 2.01
Sweat 4.03
Okareke 4.06
Onwuasor 5.04
Pratt 5.05
Tranquill 5.10
Z Smith 6.03
M Wilson 6.04
Cashman 6.06
Gary 7.02
Tavai 7.05
Polite 7.06

That’s insane.

Freaking Cashman, Mack Wilson, & Tranquill all gong ahead of him??

And Pratt going 2 full rounds ahead... yuck.

The league just doesn't value IDP much. I won the championship last year on the strength of my QB and IDP. My RB, WR and TE were nothing special. I think I started John Ross at WR3 in the championship game. There are 8 or 10 vet LB on the WW right now that could be viable starters. But rookie fever you know?
