Need IDP help/advice

Last year I decided to give IDP a try and it didn’t go so well lol. After getting my @$$ kicked all year long I finished 1-12 and now it’s time to respect the IDP side of fantasy and learn what I’m doing. Our league scoring settings are as follows:

Forced Fumble 3 points
Fumble Recovery 4 points
INT’s 5 points
Passes Defended 2 points
Tackles 1.5 points LB/S/CB 2 points DT/DE
Assists .75 points
Sacks 5 points
Tackles for Loss 1 point

With this scoring system should I focus on middle linebackers or pass rushers first? In a rookie draft when will guys like Bosa, Williams, and White typically start getting drafted? Late 1st early 2nd or will offense rule early and IDP players start going in rounds 3 or 4? This might be impossible to answer but how do you value offense vs defense when trading? Is Zach Ertz equal to Aaron Donald or is he worth multiple defensive players? I know this is a lot but any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In my idp leagues idp start going by the mid 1st. Many consider that early, I'd look at past drafts to get a better idea of what your leaguemates tend to do.

Post how many points studs like Danielle Hunter, Todd Gurley, and Hopkins all scored last year. And then post how many points the #2 LB scored.

I would say you'd need to provide a link to the league to be able to get the insights necessary. Need additional details.

2.03 - R. Smith
2.04 - B. Chubb
2.08 - M. Fitzpatrick
2.09 - T. Edmunds
2.12 - D. James

Team in Sig 1

With those settings, I wouldn’t even bother drafting IDP unless they fall way down the board. Let guys fall to you, but otherwise just grab offensive talent.

I probably wouldn’t grab the First DE until late 2nd, early 3rd.

I wouldn’t grab Devin White until early 3rd.

Ditto.

And grab a stud pass rushing DTs and DEs if still available, as they'll have an advantage over the run-stuffers in that scoring system.
