I'm trying to target a linebacker or RB in trade prior to the draft, and hoping to deal from the bottom of my deck of wide receivers to get it done. Thing is, the experts in dynasty tend to draft and evaluate players differently than the people in my average leagues.
What do you think? Can I get a stud linebacker, like Eric Kendricks, for a WR with pedigree, who hasn't produced yet, like Docston? I suspect their ADP would be similar, given how teams wait on linebacker, but teams tend to horde good linebackers like gold (and I don't blame them).

Personally I don't think so, as much as people (and I do too) wait on LBs, I'll wait even longer on WR because the position is much easier to replace. From what I've noticed positional scarcity generally tends to be DT>DE>RB>TE>QB>LB>S>WR>CB (1QB obviously) in terms of getting an elite guy or someone who can put up similar weekly points to an elite guy.

it's really going to come down to a matter of team need. You can usually get a decent LB for a decent offensive skill position player. I can see myself being on either side of your trade example depending on how deep I am at one or the other position - even bye weeks in season can make me lean one way or the other - but I agree that I value the stud LB higher than the potential at WR.
