Dizon out for the season

Lions LB Jordon Dizon will miss the 2010 season with a knee injury suffered in Saturday night's preseason opener.

Though Dizon is considered a bust in IDP circles as the former No. 45 overall pick, his loss will hurt the Lions' nickel defense. He's the team's best linebacker in coverage. Zack Follett's stranglehold on the starting weak-side job just got a little bit stronger. The exact extent of Dizon's injury is unclear, but it sure sounds like he tore a knee ligament or two.
