Not my rankings but here is my 16 team 2 QB league. Hopefully, you can see the link.

We start 2 DE, DT, DL flex, 3 LB, 2 CB, S, DB flex. I wound up taking a lot of IDP as my IOP is young and deep. I’m Purple Cobras.

I'll share ...

(Note, I tend to view rookie IDP in more of a short-term lens)

DL
1. Kwitty Paye
2. Jaelen Phillips (concussion history scares me)
3. Gregory Rousseau
4. Christian Barmore
5. Payton Turner
Sleeper: Carlos Basham

LB
1. Micah Parsons
2. Jamin Davis
3. Zaven Collins
4. Pete Werner
5 (tie). JOK
5 (tie). Nick Bolton

DB
1. Jevon Holland
2. Richie Grant
3. Trevon Moehrig
4. Caleb Farley
5. Andre Cisco
Sleeper: Divine Diablo

This is a weak IDP class. The DL prospects are very boom-or-bust (even for rookies) and lack depth. The DB class is pretty awful and there are seemingly no high-end in-the-box-safety types. The LB class is decent as Parsons is as talented as any LB prospect in recent memory and Jamin Davis went to a perfect spot.

Divine Deablo is converting to LB, prob settle in WLB. I still like him as a sleeper, but hes a year or 2 away probably.

Thoughts on DE Dayo Odeyigbo if he were healthy? Apparently the Colts had a 1st round grade on him.

Really wish DE Ronnie Perkins hadn't landed with the Pats, they rotate their EDGE so much.

If Deablo does get switched to LB on MFL that hurts his value, but the Raiders LB group is very uninspiring so he could still be worth a look.

If Odeyigbo was healthy enough to start the season that would probably put him in the #5 range, which isn't saying much as in my 16 -team league where we start 2 DL I considered everyone below #3 undraftable in our 3-round rookie draft.

Another note; I read today there is a chance Richie Grant may play some in-the-box. If that happens he would shoot all the way up to #1 on my rookie DB rankings. I think I'm going to slide him up to #2 for now.

I'm interested to hear Lukky's thoughts and if he is as down on these rookie DL and DB groups as I am.

I think Richie Grant may be the only draftable DB (in most leagues).

Not mine, but PFF recently posted their rookie IDP rankings: https://www.pff.com/news/fantasy-footba ... e-rankings

Sigmund Bloom on FootballGuys also posted his top 100 rookies, which includes offense and defense blended: https://subscribers.footballguys.com/ap ... -bloom-100

Also, the Read & React podcast just did their annual IDP-only rookie draft episode.

great CB class if you're in a deep league the values the position.

really like the DEs cin and min drafter, could be solid sleepers

If deablo does actually get a lot of snaps at wlb and doesn't get moved in mfl it could be a good situation with a lot of profit if you can sell at the right time or use the positional advantage to win

Don't forget Barnes for the Lions; should be a 3 down LB and playing the MIKE

I’ll give it a shot:

DL
1. Jaelon Phillips
2. Kwity Paye
3. Gregory Rousseau
4. Azeez Olujari
5. Carlos Basham
6. Christian Barmore

Phillips is head and shoulders more talented but injury history puts some risk in there. Paye is the best of the rest of a lacking class that should probably drop down your list some before you start picking them. If DT is broken out instead of being part of DL, move up to 2. or 3. and pounce on Barmore - he’s a stud at the position and may get some snaps at DE but will hold the DT designation

LB
1. Jamin Davis
2. Micah Parsons
3. JOK
4. Zaven Collins
5. Nick Bolton
6. Derrick Barnes
7. Ernest Jones

Great starting LB depth in this class with some bonafide LB1 and LB2s. I like Parsons better as a pure talent but Davis is not far behind and goes to the best situation. JOK’s lack of mass will likely limit an otherwise awesome LB. Spooked by Collins going to AZ - they didn’t know what to do to optimize Simmons and the team is rife with odd tweeners. Bolton and Barnes are very good LBs going into good 3 down situations. Jones should do the same but just a little bit of risk in getting the starting spot.

DB
1. Richie Grant
2. Jamien Sherwood/Hamsah Nasirildeen (if either is named SS and starts)
3. No other box Ss with decent draft/situation
4. Do not draft FSs or CBs except with a last pick, and then a rookie CB likely to start across from a lock down CB, or a 2 high FS

See 3 and 4 to explain 1. and 2. and why no other players are listed. Do not waste anything other than low picks on FSs and CBs. You can always find guys on the WW during the season. Take a shot at a swing for the fences at another position.

Thanks! I really wish he got his rankings and analysis up earlier in the year, but he is redraft focused.
