D Leonard vs B Okereke

Postby Pullo Vision » Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:33 am

Darius Leonard has been an IDP stud, racking up stats since joining the league. He was out last week and Okereke stepped- not just into the starting lineup but the the production.

Short term, is Okereke startable in fantasy until Leonard comes back? Long term, does Okereke's big production cast doubt on Leonard as a fantasy asset? Could he have only been so productive because he was behind the their strong D line? Or, is Okereke as good a player as Leonard?

You can absolutely start Okereke while Leonard is out. I have been in several leagues and have been very happy with the returns. I don't think you should worry about Leonard going forward. He should still be the stud player he is known to be. Okereke is a talented guy in his own right and is worth rostering if you have the room to handcuff Leonard (feels weird to do for a linebacker).

I thought Pratt, Okereke and Barton were three of the better LBs last year. Okereke is coming off strong back to back games and Barton was awesome last time out. Pratt not so much. Wilson and Davis-Gaither already have passed him.

That whole Bengals LB situation is messy sadly. I'm hoping someone emerges by the end of the season.

Was hoping AKG had turned the corner getting 80% in week 5. Then this week comes around and he’s down to 40%. That situation is just a mess and best to be avoided

I still have a lot of shares in Wilson and a few in ADG so I remain hopeful but they will remain rooted to my benches until they prove they have locked down a high volume role.

Brynes is a 10 year vet, he'll be riding the bench shortly. Wilson and ADG look to be the future with Pratt rotating in. ADG just flies, reminds me of L David or Telvin Smith type.

With the very limited offseason I figured quite a few teams would lean on veteran players to start the season.
