Devy Team Direction Help

Postby ThatGuyBrian » Fri Jan 18, 2019 8:04 am

Last year I took over this orphan and pretty much gutted the team but it was really, really bad. So now it is incredibly young and I have a ton of devy players on my taxi squad. Looking for advice as to where I need to make improvements on the roster

QB: Josh Rosen, Deshaun Watson
RB: Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, John Kelly, Ito Smith, Jordan Wilkins
WR: Tyler Boyd, D.J. Chark, Keelan Cole, Keke Coutee, Anthony Miller, David Moore, Torrey Smith, Tre'Quan Smith, Juju Smith-Shuster, Mike Williams, Trey Quinn, Mack Hollins, Jaleel Scott
TE: Evan Engram, Austin Seferain-Jenkins

Devy Players:
QB: Justin Herbert, Drew Lock
RB: David Montgomery, Rodney Anderson, Myles Gaskin, Kaan Higdon, Justice Hill, Jalen Hurd, Keontay Ingram, Jordan Scarlett, LJ Scott
WR: Brennan Eagles, Terrace Marshall, Victor Binjimen
Current Win Now!!:
Chester
10 team PPR (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Kicker, 1 Def/St) 27 man roster limit:
Qb Josh Allen, Joe Burrow
RB Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffery, Dalvin Cook, Saquon Barkley, Jk Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Eno Benjamin
WR Cooper Kupp, Michael Thomas, Chris Godwin, Juju Smith-Shuster, Brandon Aiyuk, Calvin Ridley (S), Zay Jones, Lavishka Shenault, Terrace Marshall,
TE George Kittle, Darren Waller, Pat Freiermuth
K Justin Tucker
Def/St Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers

Possibly competitive team
QB: DeShaun Watson, Daniel Jones, Cj Stroud
RB: Breece Hall, Travis Etienne, JK Dobbins, JaVonte Williams, Latavius Murray, Gus Edwards, Kenny McIntosh
WR: Calvin Ridley, Jaylen Waddle, Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Garrett Wilson, Darnell Mooney, Romeo Doubs, Terrace Marshall, Justyn Ross, Kayshoun Boutte, Puka Nacka
TE: Kyle Pitts, Zach Ertz, Darren Waller, Tucker Kraft
K: Justin Tucker
D/St: Bills, Bucs

I would love to see the roster you started with . . . I did something similar in the team I put in my sig, and have taken over many orphans in my day because I like the challenge. You were able to put together a nice base there of young talent. Is the league a SF and what type of scoring does your league use? Also, what is your 2019 draft pick situation and how does your league do devy (any college player or just ones that will be draft eligible in a certain year)?

My last question is what are your goals/timeline? When are you hoping to contend?
2021-Orphan Rebuild, 12tm PPR, SF, 1.75 TE Prem
2 SF, 8 Flex

QB: Mayfield, Z Wilson, D Jones, Heinicke, Rudolph, Foles
RB: Herbert, Felton, Evans, Nwangwu, Calais
WR: D Smith, Waddle, Chark, J Palmer, D P-J, Raymond, Washington, Jauan, Darden, Fehoko, Smith-Marsette, C Johnson, Proche, Shi Smith, A Tate, ESB, JJAW

2022 Picks: 1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 2.01, 2.09, and 3.02
2023 Picks: six 1sts, my 2nd

2021-Orphan Rebuild, 16tm PPR, SF, 1.5pr TE, DEVY:

TE depth, WR 2/3, RB3.

I would be selling Montgomery if you can find someone that thinks he is the RB1 this year.
